  5. You will not find a more accurate Bulge map than Eric's, be it in CMBO or CMAK.
  6. I don't think all 7 would have been destroyed. The 106th and 28th for sure, given how thinly stretched they were on the front lines, but if the Germans opted not to push to the Meuse then the entire tactical picture would have changed and divisions that were caught historically in pockets might not have been. For instance, had Pieper tried for Elsenborn then the St Vith pocket wouldn't have been so isolated, thus allowing the allied high command an opportunity to reinforce it with additional units. Imagine the St Vith salient with the 7th armored plus 82nd airborne and the remnants from 106th and 28th.

  10. Helge, Please e-mail me when you get a chance. For some reason my mail got bounced back. My address is in my profile.
  11. 90 days starting from July 02 -or- whenever the last score is submitted from the 12 finalists, whichever comes first.

  14. The allied side in Cintheaux gets to see the axis briefing.
  15. I have them. wwb is still working on getting all the ROW IV AARs uploaded (a very time consuming process), and after that he will get to the other ROWs. E-mail me with what you would like to have and I'll zip them your way. BTW, I do not have any from the invitational, only ROWs.
  16. Yes! Thank you DF for converting Cintheaux to CMAK.
  17. I think flamingknives is correct. I checked the parameters just before I went to work, and sure enough I had the attacker coming in from the east. The computer reads that as having to advance west, but with the Brits already starting on the western edge it means they've gone as far as possible by the end of the first battle. I didn't get a chance to test it, but will do so when I get home tonight. I can't believe I was racking my brains for a week trying to figure it out, only to have it been such a minor newbie mistake all along. Doh!!!!!!!
  18. You would think that after 4 years of playing this game I would know all the tricks and shortcuts, but this one has me stumped. So, I am asking for help in trying to figure out what the problem is and how to fix it. I have created two huge Ops in CMBO: "Grimbosq-the crossing" and "Grimbosq-the counterattack". Both are advance Ops set on identical maps that measure 3800 x 2900. Both are 6 battles / 25 turns per. The first Op starts on slot 6 (night), the second on slot 5 (dusk). The problem is that "the crossing" ends after the first battle, awarding the allied player a vic regardless of how far he has advanced. I even played it in hotseat mode and made sure neither side moved, but it still ended on the first battle in a total allied victory. I also tried increasing the number of battles to 12 in the event that having the first battle start on slot 6 might have confused the computer, but still got the same results. Originally these two Ops were available at the Proving grounds, but I have just pulled them because of this problem, so if you are interested in helping me out e-mail me and I will send you the latest versions. I'm not asking for anyone to play the entire thing through, just to have another pair of eyes really look at it and see what I am missing. Thank you

  22. IMO, it would have brought the pincers too close to the allied concentrations around Aachen and the Rhoer river dams. I'm not sure of the prospects for the northern pincer, but the southern arm would have run into the same problems as 6th SS Panzer army did around Elsenborn ridge, Stavelot and Trois ponts.
  23. Sure it does. In fact, I know of two. When I get home tonight I will send you "Taurus over the Odon" by Franko. It depicts the 11th armored's attack on hill 112 during Operation Epsom. The other is "Crown of Thorns", the 43rd division's attack during Operation Jupiter, by the Desert Fox. That one you can pick up from Der Kessel or the Scenario Depot. Both highly recommended.
