Although I am also frustrated that I have not received the game, I don't really blame BTS, the fulfillment company, or the USPS. Sh_t happens, and sometimes we just have to learn to deal with it. Hopefully, my recent posts about not getting the game have contained at least a modicum of humor, demonstrating that while I am frustrated and dissappointed that others (lucky bastards) are playing what I KNOW is probably the best war/strategy game of all time (thanks again BTS), I am not really angry--YET! ------------ Pfalz_XII, sitting on a veritable powder-keg of frustration and self-pity. Rob, I'm not sure how it works on the Mac, but on a PC these sound problems can be solved by either reducing hardware acceleration in your Control Panel or reducing sound acceleration in your DirectX folder. ------------------ Formerly known as not THE Charles from BTS

I'm not an expert, but this sounds like a memory leak to me (ask someone else for the technical explanation, I am out of my league here). Other than buying more RAM, make sure to close up ALL other unneccesary programs before running CM. The only programs that need to be running are Explorer and Systray. I have a V3 2000 and the smoke looks fine to me. No blockiness at all. Make sure you have the January, 2000 drivers for DirectX 7.0 and everything should be fine. Actually, the Banshee comes after the V2, but before the V3. However, in design and features it is closer to the V2 than the V3, and generally the only difference between it and the V2 is that it runs just slightly faster than two V2 cards in SLI mode. IOW, a Banshee will have the same problems displaying smoke as the V2. Only V3's and up will properly display smoke. Sorry. ------------------ Formerly known as not THE Charles from BTS

At this point, I don't believe you can "track" an ememy armor unit for more than a few seconds. Eventually, I would like to see an additional targeting order for AFV's and other units with large bore guns which would "lock" the main gun on the armor unit you want to kill for up to 20-30 seconds. In effect, this would be telling your armor unit not to target enemy infantry units with its main gun. This may or may not be needed, depending on how this works in the full version.
