Three surgeons were discussing their favourite patients. The first surgeon indicated that he preferred to operate on librarians, as their organs were organized alphabetically.

I am reminded of an anecdote regarding that inspired General and one-time President US Grant.
It was after the Civil War and our man was on his way to Philadelphia. Now, there happened to be a meeting (one of the first) of the American Bar Association going on there at the time, and every inn was filled with the creatures.
It was a particularly violent night, raining and thundering, and Mr. Grant, who was never one for fine looks anyway, entered the common room of an inn unshaven, wet, muddy, and looking quite bedraggled.
"By God," said one of the esteemed barristers at his haggard appearance. "You look like you've come through Hell to be here."
"Why, so I have, sir; so I have," said our hero.
"How was it?" yelled another litigator.
"Why, much as it is here, sir: Lawyers huddled closest to the fire."

What month was the scenario set in? I'm thinking "dry" in January isn't quite the same as dry in July.

Pat,
Ram IIs were phased out just prior to HUSKY in July '43.
They did see service in NW europe, but only in an unarmed role as OP tanks and of course Kangaroos with the 1st APC Reg't.

I was expecting to have a single tank and a couple of dirty tricks for a low-light battle. Instead there was all kinds of units all over the place and pretty respectable lines of sight. Still a fun scenario. It just didn't match the description is all.

It is a very small action about a single squad of very young conscripts defending a meaningless bridge in the closing days of the war. It's black and white. The cinematography suffers a little, but the action sequences are believable and not glorified at all (well, it's a true story after all). The film has a dark mood and goes after the fear reaction more than the hoo-rah glory action. Four stars in my book.

But anyway, a few minor textures were doubled up to save time and get the game out (because we were on the verge of a riot if they didn't). You will notice also that everyone uses the same variety of truck with only the colours changed.
I'm sure they're upgrading these as time permits.

In a very recent PBEM my Canuck two inch mortar smoked two Pumas and scared away a 75mm armed halftrack. Gotta love 'em.

My bad. I was under the assumption that that particular event (immortalized in film and a CM stock scenario), was so famous that nobody could possibly have not heard of it.
I wasn't trying to sound superior. I was just pointing out a real life instance where an impossible infantry charge succeeded.
It also would have helped analyzing what happened in this turn if some information had been provided about what kind of fire the defenders were receiving. Were they even shooting back or were they cowering? It kinda makes a difference.
