  1. There were Hummel and Nashorn in RtoCW for you to MOD from?!

    :D

    Try it.

If you're not happy with the result, don't release the MOD.

I can tell you I wasn't able to do what I did for that Weathering logo when I first MODed my Hummer.

Fact is, even though my Archer is now ouf of the bow, I've just learned how to make textures.

    :D

    MOD, and MOD again.

If you do not, you'll never learn...

  2. And what about the not Faithful?

The good Ol' Noob who just want to buy this incredible game everydody has been hyping for a long time.

Said noob would be French and buy CDV's retailed CMBO and be happy to discover that if the Brits need a Bonus, the Frogs can go play with themselves under the shower.

Which we know is not often.

    :D

Basically, how come CDV UK is throwing a candy and CDV France can't even produce a game of the same quality?

    No MOD, no added Scenario.

Bad localisation with Names and Labels too long to be read in some part of the Interface.

And since we can't have the fun of the English, why not have the drawbacks of the German?

So it is that even with no law concerning WW2 games, the SS are now Waffen Grenadier in CDV CMBO.

So just to be EXTRA sure, and because I want my CMBB in English through BTS, will I be obliged as a European to buy my game off the shelves and be stuck with such things?

    Steve? Martin?

    Steve Martin?

I got nothing against CDV and I'm happy they have the chance to distribute this outstanding piece of software.

Likewise, I'll be delighted if BTS turns rich all of sudden.

But who got the brilliant idea to package such a neutered version for us French?

Unreadable labels, Stock textures & Politically Correct unit names.

    Now that's an incentive...

  3. Aww come on with your baseball and cricket!

You really must learn to fear the Basque!

Invented in 1857, the Chistera or Cesta Punta was very often used by Basque in our multiple wars.

    Here comes:

    Gcol14.jpg

Its first military use was in the trench war of 14-18 by Chiquito de Cambo.

Those of you who have been lucky enough to catch a game of Jai Alai would know what kind of thrust and accuracy can ge gained by using a chistera.

Some Basque commandos of the Vandengergh Hunt Commando were routinely using the Chistera to hurl grenades from far off in our Indochina war.

BTW, this thread is turning as a pissing contest.

    Hi Mom!

    :D

  4. Thanks all.

It was from a famed RTR anecdote where a Chinese farmer asker tankers of the Royal Tank Regiment how their tanks could possibly see without eyes.

    This was in WW1.

They took on painting eyes on turrets.

The idea carried on WW2 and those eyes were seen on many Mathildas.

Those on the Archer are called Eye of Horus.

They are supposed to be a lucky charm.

Painting such things on a vehicle most people drive rearward in battle seemed to be necessary...

    Nope.

People should know when things are so uncalled for that the reaction to it could only be allergic in nature.

Posting his little Gnomish Sycophancy and going way overboard in a private email won't get him sympathy or much in the way of respect.

Emma might be Fair, she is no Fair Game.

Someday, people will study Steve's behaviour as the perfect example of the Law of Diminishing Returns...
