  1. For me its the total immersion factor. I constantly discuss with fellow PBEM`s and TCP`ers how this game stays so fresh...it really is a classic in every sense of the word. Its Magic alright...
  2. I had the OODA loop hammered into me by Blackhorse (Active US Cav) a LONG time ago. It works gentlemen, whether its playing an older game like the Battleground Series, any flight-sim and even more so CM. The psychological advantage it can convey often outweighs any material or tactical advantage to a point where your enemy loses heart when he really shouldn`t. I`m an OODA convert, although I`d be interested to hear others schools of thought..?

  4. Any sign of an imminent release for the Normandy Terrain pack yet Magua?
  5. I used to have a Celeron 300A too! Overclocked to 450 no problem with either OS or applications/games. I now use a PIII-650E overclocked to 728Mhz with yet again no problems. I`d take it to 800Mhz but my PC100 memory complains too much, I have 256Mb of the stuff and am considering upgrading to PC133 soon to get the extra boost. On a side note, having that new AMD 1.2Ghz CPU must be great! Power to yer!
  6. From memory, wheatfields have different concealment values dependent on the time of year...which makes a lot of sense..
  7. "The Forgotten Soldier" is one of the best books I have ever read, and I`ve read a LOT. It will always have pride of place in my library..
  8. Tom, now I know why I haven`t had my PBEM turn back from you! Nice work mate...
  9. You may want to see the thread in general discussion area entitled "Fionn Kelly and the Ban"...
  10. Stodge, we`ve spoken before, via email. i`m from Stockton...remember me?
  11. I`m from Cleveland, UK. I guess that doesn`t count....
  12. Deanco, I`ve been using your interface mods since they became available and have gradually moved along as they were replaced and improved. This is just the icing on the cake! Superb work there mate.
  13. Thats a coincidence, I just bought this film last week! Its pretty good, not exactly a classic but certainly worth a look...
  14. Anyone tried these with CM yet? Pls let me know if poss...TIA
  15. Our respective ages are 33 and 35...hmm, does that make it better or worse I wonder?
  16. You should have seen that last move of mine! If I`d had a replay option, I would still be sat looking at it now
  17. Joshik, that is hilarious..but you missed the part about attacking, counter-attacking and defending! Just like in all my CM battles.
  18. Magua`s new Normandy terrain is in development and may even knock DD`s superb grass, trees and bases off the number 1 spot. As for other stuff, Tiger, Marco, Gordon and Panzertruppen are the boys! There are other excellent mods that supplement the above by many other authors, too many to mention in fact but you`ll find all the all new mod list at www.combat-missions.net. This will help you to locate every mod ever released.
