  1. I really enjoy the debates that this game initiates. Those of us that play this game over and over again are now becoming accustomed to the accuracy instilled in it. If the game were completely accurate, we would not be able to run around the battlefield at will. This is one the premiere atractions of the game for me. I say just toggle the detailed armor hits off and go about beating the enemy. Flix
  2. I read that the full version should be out in two to three weeks. Good game, huh? Flix
  3. Now this is something that I am sure doesn't mean much to others, but all of the weapons HAVE A RECOIL!!!! I've never seen that before!! PS I've seen a lot on this game that I've never seen before. Thanks, Flix
  4. When my Panther arrived, it destroyed to of the four reinforcement Shermans. The two remaining Shermans popped smoke and reversed (keeping gun and frontal armor to me). I believe the AI is right on. As for the Sherman that took the round and kept going? I wouldn't be surprised if the 75mm round went in one side and out the other of your Sherman. The armor, weapons and what not are accurate (except for the lack of the M1 Grand) but that's getting to stinkin' picky. I'm not sure about the AT 75mm in the bunker, but I know that the 75mm on the Panther had a greater muzzle velocity than that of the Sherman. This would allow at times for the shell to go in and out of the target. Flix
  5. I sell electrical supplies to contractors and industrial plants.... Flatly put, I'm a 30 year old salesman who is about to return to college this summer. Thanks, Flix
  6. I've had no problems with the game locking up. But, it most likely sounds like a driver conflict. I'm running a DirectX7 compatible 3D video card on a PIII 600. You might try, before installing the game, simply defragging your hard drive. I've seen that required on many programs.
  7. The Panther comes in turn 18. If you use it correctly, that Panther can take out all of the Shermans, including the 105's. Just keep the Panther's front armor towards the enemy. Flix
  8. This, hands down, is the most impressive and engaging computer wargame that I have ever encountered. (I've been wanting to get that off of my chest for some time.) CM has very good AI as far as I'm concerned. However, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Even if the AI was mediocre, everything else in this milestone of a game would make up for it. Mark my words, this game will revolutionize computer wargaming forever. Thanks, Flix
  9. You can check each individual unit during the turn phase. Even if one of your units is taking heavy casualties, there's nothing that you can do about it during the "real time phase". Thanks, Flix
  10. The balance of power for this scenario is equal. The Germans have many resources at their command early on in the game. For instance, the big 150mm is heck on the infantry as well as the two 81mm mortars. Oh yeah, don't forget the various bunkers. The Panther G is a big shot in the arm but comes a little late in the game. The four Shermans can easily take it out. In this scenario, the Germans CANNOT REMAIN IN A DEFENSIVE POSTURE!! The outcome of this scenario depends solely upon the Generals running it. Thanks, Flix
