Every time i try and play i get to about the second turn and quit.Hate the differnt controls, i use to love boxing units and moving them with the other CM,s using the arrow keys to navigate the map etc, just dont like setup at all. Donts have the nice slick feel that CMBB or CMAK has, even when playing it just feels awkward and cumbersome.Tried playing in real time, felt it was impossible at this stage, tried turn based and i cant seem to get a handle on moving around the map so easy.At this point ive had enough of it already and will go back to CMAK will perservre with it later, but i guess we got abit spoiled with the earlier CM's

yes, game says version 1.3

Its been awhile since i have played this and i know there is a fix for it, just cant remember what it was, but my mortor barrels are white and the Brumbar is white. I have 1.3 patch, now what was the fix here cant seem to find, any help?

For whats its worth, doesnt have that instant slick appeal of any of the CM's for there day, but more of something abit more cumbersome.However, Excellent map Size. Like the map layout Units graphics are good. Like the option to purchase extra troops. Still trying to get use to camera. Weapon sounds sound like a good wargame from the late 80's, Listen to the 50 cal from the old close combat or some MG's far superior. One thing that shocked me was how easy my Jagdpanther's got killed my long range soviet fire and my King tiger at long range was dispacthed by soviets from across the river, one would have thought a threesome like that would cause some serious problems.Get the feeling the Phyisics are abit suspect. overall never spent enough time to see how good the AI is but the awkward feel of this was alittle distracting and the demo felt like it was abit old already not something from 2007.

I think it will be great as well, Moon has answered my query.I have been following them since CMBO days and they have been pretty consistant with thier appriasils of there own games.

After reading one review it said the force size is usually a small battalion consisting of a few squads and about 10 vehicles.For a start it sounds more like a supported company. Never the less i cant help thinking that it sounds abit infantry light. Im not basing this assumption on evidence but more on what ive read so far.

Damn right, i got tired of visiting this forum and seeing that damn thing.

Cant seem to get past this date, game hangs during allied player turn at the end when the AI is Thinking....... hour glass

1.03 Playing as Axis and surrounded the Maginot line,behind the three French armies on the line was the BEF, during thier turn it Dissapeared, by what looked like Op Moved out.Cut off no supplies poof gone back to Britain.Just an observation so far other than that i like 1.03 and a teleporting Brit unit is by no means a game breaker.I havent tried going allies yet to see if i can do it with the Brit unit.Maybe just a AI cheat?

I think you are abit Harsh on Rommel, its all very well comming to these conclusions with our hindsight, but north Africa was a very close run thing for the allies for awhile there, especially after operation crusader which was the turning point for Rommel, up until then he outmonuvered and a superior allied army.Winston Churchill himself even comment on what a great leader and General the man was.

Kuniworth, I was not talking about the Air generals of other Major powers, i was talking about Goring. If you read my post i said nothing about basing selection on how well known they are. As for making comments on the reason i want this guy because he is the only one i know, well i think you need to re-read my original post again as your interpretation is alittle bit distorted my Friend.

Goring had a major influence on the Axis Kuniworth,he had a huge role in infleuncing stalingrad,battle of britain and also how germany shaped her air arm,so he was right up there over and above any divisional commander kuniworth so i would have to agree with Rambo here in that he needs to be represented if not for the flavour of the game

It is always interesting when relecting or observing how we strive to improve things. One of the secrets i guess with SC1 was its simplicity,and it was successfuly in raining in newbees as far as entry level wargammers and some curious grogs.But as we all got familar with it we ask for this and more.I for one enoyed SC1,but as a self confessed Grog got bored with it not to long wanting an to go beyond that level. I continually keep hearing comparisons to,and in fact every Stategic wargame forum i hear the game Third Reich come up.I myself like the look of SC2 and wonder if it is moving towards the T/Riech level.Third Reich is begging to be reborne for alot of old Grogs.SO the question is,is this it?
