  1. I'm 15 and I wanted SPR to be shown in History class last year for Memorial Day (studying WWII around same time), but teacher wouldn't. I understand though, DEF, I see all too much of it in my generation, and am glad to know there's Colin and Pzschreck out there . ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. 2. That was awesome, to be VERY modest! (Just watched movie). I can definitely get my father to preorder now (He's almost sworn off computer games because he thinks they cause all problems in our system and require too much). In any case, I will swear to pay for any big time PC problems just to get the game! Well worth the wait by the looks of it! Hey, one of the beginning shots shows what LOOKS like Brit. armor, but could be the 1st Pol. Amd. Heh heh... ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. 3. THANK YOU BTS! See you all on the battlefield sometime late May, early June. (See, my 6 June release prediction might be right). ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. Yes, I know my name is spelled wrong as a member!
  4. Thomm, I was watching another program on anti-tank weapons, and indeed they are working on a 50 cal. sniper rifle with a laser guided BULLET! Apparently, they are in teams of two. One fires the rifle and the other "paints" the target with the laser. Quite effective when aimed at ammo magazine . Laser guided bullets. What'll they think of next? ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. Yes, I know my name is spelled wrong as a member!
  5. Thank you Steve and Fionn! Hopefully my soldiers will be happier to use them now than in CC2. Usual response I got was "We're pinned down!" while the tank was basically on top of them before they were wiped out by the tank. ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. 6. Funny story maj. tom the 2nd Had almost same thing happen to me (me as amis). Foxhole, From what I've heard (am going to try it soon), you can close assault a tank. I mean CLOSE ! Like the guys are basically pounding on the tank. Several people said they've seen shoving actions down gun barrels and then the gun's been damaged. Hopefully, Brit. Abn will have Gammon Bombs (Never used them in CC2 when I asked them to ). US Engineers have explosives that should be somewhat effective, I think. ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. 7. A-10 and AC-130 are my favorite modern-day aircraft! . I definitely am going to fly one of them. ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. Yes, I know my name is spelled wrong as a member!
  8. Glad to hear Madmatt (thinking of idea now)... ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. Yes, I know my name is spelled wrong as a member!
  9. Bazooka, I had the same thing happen to me in a game I am playing now. I think they all got lost in the rubble and tunneled underground, but the "evaporating" concept is pretty good too. ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. Yes, I know my name is spelled wrong as a member!
  10. Beware Lt Jared of the American Artillery! He kicked some serious butt one time when I was playing (as Amis). ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. Yes, I know my name is spelled wrong as a member!
  11. Madmatt, When will you give the caption winners of POTDs (while you were gone) their custom POTDs (you promised) . ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. Yes, I know my name is spelled wrong as a member!
  12. 124th NY here Madmatt. Remember Devil's Den! Our members are basically like you and your friends. We like to preserve the history during the time that is the reenactment, but hey, you've got to live it up modern-day soemtimes. Hey-Polish Airborne had grey berets... ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. Yes, I know my name is spelled wrong as a member!
  13. Kunstler, I'd watch out for artillery occassionaly. I just had a Sherms gun taken out by 81 mm mortar round (I think). I don't know if they're still up, but if you can go on over to the CM club in Yahoo (http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/combatmissionclub). Madmatt had some good pictures up about what happens to a German King Tiger group (bunched up together) when hit by an artillery bombardment. Makes you think... ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. Yes, I know my name is spelled wrong as a member!
  14. Thanks Lewis . Good job against Griff, or so I hear. ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. Yes, I know my name is spelled wrong as a member!
  15. Always rely on Fionn for an answer for a question dealing with German WWII weaponry . Thanks, interesting! ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. Yes, I know my name is spelled wrong as a member!
  16. Lewis-if you must know I am 15 years old and this was my first PBEM, so I didn't exactly know the rules of etiquette. Sorry. ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. Yes, I know my name is spelled wrong as a member!
  17. Very nice guys! I look forward to further such updates! ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. Yes, I know my name is spelled wrong as a member!
  18. Lewis tells me he will surrender, but then sends me what I think will be the AAR and final map. Wrong! Instead, he sends me a game turn in which his teams appear to be trying to form a "Banzai" charge of some sort. I offered him honorable terms! My medicas would have treated his wounded and his men would have been treated well! Instead, one of my medics is now dead due to his fire! Lewis simply wants to kill more of his men and mine on this map. It is needless bloodshed. I hope I meet better and wiser opponents soon. . ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. Yes, I know my name is spelled wrong as a member!
  19. Lewis and his Germans have had enough of my "Super Sherman" and the rest of my Yanks. They are surrendering. Final tally to come. ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. Yes, I know my name is spelled wrong as a member!
  20. Good posts Steve and others. Also what I do (In CE alot) is to send the Sherms screaming down the road and then dismounting my infantry. This works real well if you've got a "Super Sherman" on your hands . Also, if you see an enemy arty spotter, crush him with everything you can! It's only a two man team, but sometimes it can cause more damage than all 4 Shermans combined in Riesberg (that was fun ). Other than that, nothing to add other than what's been covered. ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. Yes, I know my name is spelled wrong as a member!
  21. To tell you the truth Walter, I don't know how many soldiers the Poles had at each front . All I know is that they were some d**n good fighters, and some more . Indeed, Canada is not included with the Brits in my book, nor is any other country who served under Brit supplies, etc. (ex: Poles, Aussies, New Zealanders, etc.). ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. Yes, I know my name is spelled wrong as a member!
  22. LOL! Great job Jeff! ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. Yes, I know my name is spelled wrong as a member!
  23. Quality, not quantity Lewis . (For those of you wondering, my "Super Sherman" and Lewis' "Stinky Stug" (sorry Lewis ) killed each other at the exact same time in the current turn. ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. Yes, I know my name is spelled wrong as a member!
  24. That is one sweet map editor Madmatt! Great job BTS! ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. Yes, I know my name is spelled wrong as a member!
  25. Killmore, I always rely on the Toy Soldier Company in matters like this. They've never ceased to amaze or please me with the number of items they have and new ones are always on the way! Their website is www.toysoldierco.com. ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. Yes, I know my name is spelled wrong as a member! [This message has been edited by Gen.
