Anyone else noticed this? In some quick battels I bought a few of the truck mounted flak guns (German) in hopes of using them against half tracks etc.
OFTEN times, during battle, the truck sits there and turns in place....constantly. The gun aquires a target, then continues to spin. I watched more than once, a unit do this for an entire turn.
I have given up on using them now since they rarely do anything of use.
If it just me?

My dad tells me that they used some kind of special bombs that were supposed to be able to hit the bottom of the building if I recall right. The prisoners were at the top, so they didn't want to bomb them. Of course the screw up happened when one of the Mosquito bombers clipped a power line coming over the beach, then crashed into the park near the school. The other bombers coming saw the smoke and unloaded bombs on the school.
I did not know Steve had Danish roots! That's cool. Mmmm...I could use some herring and a snaps now!

Well, I'm not technically "Danish", but both of my parents are. I was born here.
My mother is a survivor of "Den Franske Skol"
(pardon my spelling!) where British bombers missed the Shell building and bombed her school killing many children and other civillians. Had it not been for my mother sitting in the wrong place at the wrong time I would never have been here.
On my dads side, his brother was taken by the Germans and sent to a prison camp in Northern Germany where he died.
Oh hell, I've really thrown the thread off kilter here....sorry about that, I just feel that I have a strong connection with my fellow Danes and even though I am not a "real" Dane I feel I have very strong roots there. My Morfar is 95 now!!

Bizzare, I accidently did the same thing last night. But I got no error. Though I did have to crash the program to restart. No problems since then.

In a ridiculous scenerio where I just ran around doing "stuff" I ended up having this unlikely hero.
I mean I zoomed this guy around at full speed to the hot spots like a "fire truck". He kicked ASS!! I ran him up behind an infantry gun and watched as the two tried to line up on each other first. zzzzzzzzzzttt. Toasty 75mm Inf gun. Then he turned around and had a go at a half track. "Zot!" Toast. And all the infantry guys in foxholes were zapped along the way.
Very handy weapon.

I thought BTS said they were shooting for ultra realism? Man, now that I know there wasn't really 300 foot flags on WWII battlefields the games is pointless for me.

Didn't Squal Leader have some rarity rating? I think it would help me (the non grog) design scenerios. Would it be realistic for 2 or 3 or 4 of these things to be deployed along with a company of infantry??

Jeezus, I think some of them have like "43 casualties inflicted". I was worried they'd run out of ammo. I'm telling ya, it was wild. "Klang klang klang" That hatch kept opening and they just kept streaming out of that thing.

I can't get over how incredible this thing is. 10 points for one? Good lord. I had two of these account for 5 Sherman kills. From LONG RANGE.
I can't get over how effective they are. Sure seems to be a supergun so far from what I have seen in the game.

No, Im not kidding!!
I'm playing the Arhnem battle as the Brits. So there I am watching as an armored car comes across the bridge, my Piat takes it out. Ok. Next turn.
About this time I start hearing the hatch popping open on it. Over, and over again. Crew members starting getting out. And I mean LOTS of them. Just like the clown car at the circus! I lost count after some 20+ crew got out of that thing. The got mowed down immediately....but it was the weirdest thing. This went on for 2 or 3 turns. Finally it stopped.

Well, Im back from lunch.
Got home and the mailman was there.
But he had nuthin for me.

Well, it seems that several who are just getting them say they had their cards charged on 6/15 and shipped on 6/20. So my card was on 6/16, and so Im hoping it'll be tomorrow. If not, oh well, I'll be gone all weekend anyway.
Someone posted that they thought orders went out on the day cards were charged. They did not. I think BTS made this very clear before.

Now someone just needs to edit the sound file of the hatch opening, insert the sound of a "gas attack" in front of it and we'd have it.
Just before a crew bailed out you'd hear a loud fart, the hatch opening and the guys running for cover.
