How Soviet soldiers explained USA on the jeep
crossfire replied to killmore's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Did Soviets had any jeep-like cars of their own? -
But their lines were overextended too. They had no plans to cross Wisla at that point. Their rate of advance was slowing significantly before they got to Praga (east side of Warsaw) They could have tried to do more to free Warsaw and with some success I am sure. But they had no such plans and they were not prepared for it. And then of course they did not want to help Capitalist goverment of Poland that fought them just 20 years ago.

RUSSIAN VS GERMAN? IS IT BEING MADE?
crossfire replied to GAZ_NZ's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Even 2.5 to 1 does not sound bad when you think of conscripts fighting regulars or green troops fighting veterans. Terrible commanders and "Stavka" policies made sure that all regulars were waisted quickly in 1941. -

I don't think USA has a luxury of becomming isolationist. Why? Because there are too few world powers in the world. (Unlike before WWII when many European countries were percived as strong military powers) USA is needed as a counter-balance to Russia and China. -
Big Assed Ungodly HUGE Texture UPDATE on CMHQ!!!
crossfire replied to a topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Can you tell me hoe to download all of the textures in one big "texture fix". I have aplying patches over possibly redundant/incompatible patches. The winter textures don't replace summer textures I hope (in the snowless maps)? -

In geography class we had to make a map once of countries that receive generous US support in cash, food, etc. ALL of these coutries were situated around communist countries (or communist supported countries). Was it called the Barrier policy? (Can't remember now) -
It grieves me to have to say this, but...

Barbarism comment: Much more soviet civiliast were killed by Germans then German civilians by Soviets. This can include post war years if you insist. -
I my case the edge of the CM battlefield flicker. Really annoying. Colors are fine.
