  1. I would just like to post and say that I have played the Trois Points scenario and it is fantastic!! I played the Americans and got creamed...and it was one heck of a lot of fun. I had created a Trois Points map about 3 months ago, my wife had a baby and I revisited the map and got disgusted with it - now I am glad I didn't post it as this version was much, much better! My hats off to the creator of this fine scenario (I will play it again and be victorious!!!)

  2. Hey, don't get me wrong - I love Battlefront as much as the next guy (in a platonic, gaming sort-of heterosexual way...) but I've been meaning to post about this for awhile now. Battlefront, can you revamp your graphics on the forum? How about ditching the sandbags and simplifying it so the forum will load that much quicker!! Seriously guys, just consider a facelift.

  3. Seems like it would be possible for the mod makers to place extra items on the tanks/vehicle mods like bushes and branches for camo purposes and extra equipment (that you always see lashed in some fashion to a vehicle).

    I think it would add something to the look of the vehicles - it would enhance the uniqueness of the mod and give a realistic feel to the vehicle. After all, what you don't stick on a vehicle you have to carry yourself...whatdya think?

  4. BIGTIME,

    Never had a problem with anything before this. You guys have to check this one out cause its one for the books! (Give me an email address and I will attach the PBEM file and send to you to watch).

    Basically, vehicles start appearing and disappearing all over part of the map in a very, very quickly! As far as I know, my PBEM partner doesn't even have troops in that area.

    Totally freaky!

  5. Admittedly I have only been working on my first map BUT I think the bridges in CM have definite bugs. Targeting under/around bridges is freaky and computer-controlled vehicles/men will avoid going under bridge at all costs. Computer controlled men/machines will go around, usually, although I witnessed vehicles at one point going through the bridge partially, disappear and appear on top of the bridge. Weird stuff, my friends, weird stuff.

    I am taking bridges with roads underneath out of my map. This will hurt it's accuracy but no one will play the damn thing if the bridges screw up like they have. Nuff said.

  6. OK, I think we had this discussion a long time ago, but it still bugs me! Do I have this wrong or does CM have only troops being hassled by barbed wire? I confess that I haven't tried to drive a vehicle through some yet...

    Only reason I ask is that I am curious about what happens when you run a tank through some concertina wire - I once saw a deuce and a half truck run through some and it was a nightmare - the concertina wire wrapped around the axels, etc. In short, the truck became entangled and had to stop. I assume this would happen to jeeps and other vehicles but not sure what would happen to a tracked vehicle.

    Someone out there knows and that's why I'm asking.

  8. Mapmaking question: If you put a flag on the map, does the game AI interpret that as the goal? I mean, will the opposing forces automatically head towards the flag and try to conquer and hold the area around the flag? I am trying to get something accomplished in a map but preliminary testing was with more than one flag...should I use only one? I'd appreciate any and all comments.
