  1. In a recent PBEM in last defence the german opfor had a stug by the wooden house in the field right next to the Objective flag near the paved road. Turn 10 arrived and the tank just sat there and turned 180 and gave me a Perrfectt target and needless to say it didnt last long after that. PS--- The american 50.cal ROCKS... 3 HT kills From playing last defence as the us and Chance enounter as the us, They arent crack units or anything special, if used right and in combined arms you can OWN! the axis.. I have a nother PBEM going in chance incounter on t10ish and all three stugs are burning and no - repeat NO losses to the shermans. Inf dont last long aganst 3 grouped shermans with 2 squads of inf as backup.... [This message has been edited by TZEENCH (edited 12-23-99).]

  3. Have some good questions for ya, You know the charts of the penetration tabels for the sheman & panther on the WebSite. Can you do that with the beta And or Full copy wile in game? If so how do you do it?

  5. Humm i think having a 24 meg CM battle to watch would be fine. Hell ive got more hd space taken up in Avis than i could shake a stick at, a 50 meg file is nothing.
  6. IS there any plans for a TOTAL RANDOM battle generator? I remember the days that i would only chose the best armour and a little inf when playing SP1 and SP2 , and ive seen people get into a rut about just using one type of tank or infantry platoon type and choose nothing else. Gameplay gets a little stale after that. Some times not knowing what your going to use is a intresting twist to a multiplayer game.
  7. Will there be a feature that will be able to download later (like with the Tcp\Ip patch) that will enable you to link a battles worth into one movie? Or do we looking at third party inovation?

All right i cant resist anymore i have to put in a word or two (he he) CON In defence of BTS doing 3d modeling for dead bodys is a waste of time and effort that they could be modeling new tanks esc... All games have to track whats is going on and where its going. Try seting 10 aliens on fire in AvP during a multiplayer game, that caused systems to freeze really bad. The game as of right now in the demo, the speed of the playback and the graphics are smooth and you dont really need any major system to run it, even though i have a ubercomputer most people cant optain hardware to compete that way. I would like to see a fully fluid game.
  9. Hey when the new demo is availble will the old missions be compatible with the new demo build / Full copy? When someone creates a DYO mission for PBEM, how will the terain be generated? by a list of types (grassy hills,city,small office cubes )or just randomly? When selecting units for DYO, when buying inf will it be by Platoon (1co +3 squads) or buy squad? ill assume armour is one by one.

  12. Any idea on what the range is going to be? 4 to 10 meters? or are we talking less? any chance of geting madmatt or fionn to post a pic of one in action?
  13. How are the flamethrowers going to be modled in the game? Will you be able to set terrain on fire easier? Is there going to be Tank versions? ------------------

  16. You could try to crop or compress the wav, cut out things you dont need, some times it adds a long blank to it, make shure that dosent exist(had it after a machine gun once) other than that mabe use a smaller wav?

  18. heres how. find the wav you want to inport. find the wav you want to replace.make note of the file name (0000650.wav,esc) use a sound program(wave studio,esc)import the sound you want. convert the file to 44,000 16hrz MONO, then save the file as the same file you want to replace. (0000651.wav) should have no problems converting files over, im using the wav program waht came with the SBlive. Let me know on if you have any more problems.
  19. Hey is the full version going to have better quality sounds for the us infantry? Or can we just edit the wavs like we can do now? (added the drill instructor from Half-Life Opfor for the us sounds )
