  1. I really don't care about PBEM file size, I'm just trying to come up with ideas to for a solution for the WEGO TCPIP. A dialog box could be great to, but I could live with a few options like those I mentioned in my first post. That way a full round won't make problems when we are playing a game that should last for 20 mins/20 turns, i.e. fractions. [ July 28, 2007, 08:22 AM: Message edited by: Cougar_DK ]
  2. Does this mean that I will have to force it on in the driver then?
  3. I had the same "problem" the first time I tried the mission. It seemed that my squads was out of Javelins after engaging the tanks. Even splitting the squad in two with ATGM as one sub-squad didn't help. I restarted the scenario and this time only allowed one squad to disembark to take out the three tanks. When they were gone I ordered the two other squads out and engaged the bunkers with out any problems.
  4. That could be an excellent way to do it in TCPIP mp, but I have no idea if it could be done and what overhead it would add to the game, i.e. it would have to check file sizes all the time.
  5. I'm pretty sure that my settings is application controlled.
  6. What settings in my drivers has I missed since the AA option ingame does nothing?
  7. Thats not the deal. Take a look at this thread: http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=52;t=001832
  8. What if we could set the number of seconds an AI turn should use, i.e. 15, 30, 45 or 60 secs? That way file size would be smaller but we would have more turns (not a problem in a TCPIP game). Since this game is modern and we can engage each other at longer ranges than WWII then why not cut the time down per turn, things is bound to happen way faster than WWII? The Harpoon 4.0 board game rules used 15m when no contact, 1m when aircraft was airborne and 1s when the missile started flying. Just an idea, thanx for a great game. Cheers Mark
  9. Hmmm they are back, not sure what I did. I will try to investigate.
  10. Thats strange since I had inf when I started playing on this pc.... ??? I will try to change something and mayby open a thread in the support forum.
  11. I'm not so sure its Fraps if you have a newer machine. I have heard people complain about Fraps eating FPS and my guess is that it depends on your pc power. My game is very sluggish when looking at the front with or without fraps running.
  12. I can confirm this. My rig runs rFactor, ArmA, Supreme Commander, IL-2 and SBPRO PE without any problems. The same goes for Galactic Civilization II which also had the dual core problems, this was solved by the Microsoft patch and AMD drivers. Will try to install CMSF on my old rig tomorrow (AMD XP2800, 768mb Ram and Ati 9800 XP Pro 256)
  13. I'm off to bed now, but saw a strange thing in mission 2. If I unloaded the men before starting the time they turned invisible??? They fired away just fine. Will try it again tomorrow.
  14. I have tried the Microsoft patch (again) with no luck. And saw that Nvidia released the 162.18 drivers yesterday. Will try them and update my DxDiag file. The drivers didn't change anything. [ July 27, 2007, 03:02 PM: Message edited by: Cougar_DK ]
  15. Sorry, didn't see this new tech forum, so here is my post in the correct forum: I have these problems too. Running an AMD XP 64 4400, Nvidia 6800 GTS 640 OC2, 2 GB Ram and XP Pro SP2 (Danish). I have tested all resolutions from 1024x768 to my native 1680x1050 and I get the same low frame rate at 10 when turning the camera around in Battle: Allahs Fist. W/o moving the camera at the start of the mission I get 10 FPS. When I turn it clockwise and moves past the first "top" my FPS goes to 55 and looking at my own tanks gives me about 30 FPS. As soon as the first smoke comes into view it drops to 10 FPS again. When the FPS drops to 10 the mouse is very hard to control and thereby playing the game in real-time pretty hard, since I'm moving toward that phase-line. I have tried to change settings from lowest to highest, and it only changes the max FPS. As soon as the "enemy units" around "Phase Line Charlie" come into view it drops. My DxDiag file: DxDiag

  19. I have an AMD 4400 dual core, a 8800 GTS 640 OCS, 2gb of ram, running the game at my native screen resolution 1680x1050 and I have between 7-11 fps when the action starts.
  20. Great video. What kind of rig do you got and what ingame settings? It looks a lot more fluid than on my pc.
