Send me the little half. I might have to order some parts, but we should have it back to you in a day or two... (Whoops! The Royal "We".) [This message has been edited by Mark IV (edited 06-19-2000).]

<BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Big Time Software: T34/85s aren't that hard to come by... Someday I might own one, but then again... the maintainence and practical problems that go along with a heavy AFV are numerable. Fixing and moving around my M29C is hard enough, and the bugger only weighs 4500 lbs and is pretty small.<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> No prob. I just wanna park it and shoot a little bit. I'm sure the apartment complex would have a COW if I actually drove it around.

Send it over and let me have a look at it.

Should the Yahoo club be disbanded?
Mark IV replied to Lorak's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Lorak: I've only been there a few times (not big on chat) but I always enjoyed it. Yahoo is a royal PITA, but the site was alright, and I'm sure the regulars appreciate your ground-breaking effort. If you posted here (with the URL) when it was active like you used to, there would probably be more traffic. Now there's a bit of Distraction, but when things settle down a little it may still be viable. -
O/T - Interesting Korean War Article
Mark IV replied to Marty's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
I've been reading a lot on Korea lately, and a lot of what I'm reading confirms the impotence of the "2.36-inch bazooka rockets" vs. the T-34. Not to mention the general level of unpreparedness and general ass-kickin' we got at the beginning, and again from the Chicoms. I may have mentioned this before... but Korea is SO CM! One thing I really liked about the SP2 scenarios was the special feeling you get from shooting communists. I suppose this makes me a bad person. -
More info? A URL, photo? Mileage statement?

Fresno, still at work, wondering....

Still at work and trying not to get excited in California.

My girlfriend is Japanese, so I eat sushi at least once a week, plus Thai, Vietnamese, and Korean all the time. I eat many things that I once considered bait, or worse. And because I don't have my game yet and I'm leaving town Wednesday AM, I am relegated to posting drivel about drink and food. This is the only thread relevant to my condition.

Mortlach, eh? I'll be looking for that. Never had it.

<BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Germanboy: Too much Äppelwoi I presume? That stuff is deadly, but good for your digestive system... <HR></BLOCKQUOTE> Haven't thought about that stuff for awhile. I was addicted to it. Not being one to pound beers, and liquor being occasionally out of reach on E4 pay and somewhat "punishing" I discovered apple wine, Hanau-style. If y'all think I'm talking about Boone's farm or something, forget it. This is like a hard apple cider/lemonade with a kick. Wasn't that the ingredient in the Gluehwein, the hot spicy stuff in winter?

<BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Big Time Software: Laphroiag, Glenmorangie, Talisker and Lagavulin phonetically<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> I think they pretty much are phonetic, except Laphroiag is "la-froyg". At least that's how I've always said them and it works.

Punt. All hell gonna break loose this week. -
I have the smokey gene. I love the little smoked oysters. I eat smoked anything. I eat my Shermans.

Isn't there a delay penalty if you order the main gun to tackle a soft target, and enemy armor shows up? You got HE up the tube and here comes a tank- you have to unload or shoot it out, then load AP, all while he draws his bead on you.

Wish I could. Frankfurt was like home to me. Check out Sachsenhausen if you don't get any takers (trains, of course, are excellent).

You might be interested in this link, if you haven't already been there: http://danshistory.com/ww2/flak.html I don't think it directly answers your question, but includes: "A true proximity fuse or variable time fuse was never developed by Germany despite extensive efforts to do so. Allied planners estimated that German FLAK would be about three times more deadly if they had proximity fused shells." Lots of other cool flak stuff here.

Well, Voodoo 2 is from 3dfx, not Creative. Try here: http://www.3dfxgamers.com/view.asp?PAGE=V2drivers Also, DirectX7a might be a little better than plain old 7 and is a fairly painless upgrade. Dunno what O2K would effect unless it changed your driver configs. Assume you've been to the Control Panel and verified device and driver settings?

Do you mean you cannot see them? I just looked, and they're there...
