Hey, Maddmatt or somebody at CMHQ, do you have a place where people can find PBEM partners. I a (unbeleivable I know) almost sick of playing the demo missions against the AI, and would like to find a PBEM partner who can send me a big can of whoopass so I don't get too cocky before playing the final product. I am in Australia and my wife is in the US visiting family, so this is an ideal time for me to do some gaming. ------------------ desert rat wannabe

I would dearly love to have a new demo scenario to play, I mean I'd sell my cat (OK so it's my wifes prize cat) to get my hands on a new scenario. However, I would only want it on the condition that it would not slow down the regular development in any way. Also, the developers should get plenty of sleep and have good holidays. BTW, I have been playing Chance and trying to get the lowest body count possible. My best go playing the Germans is an Allied surrender with loss of only 34 (11 KIA). Me too. After all the positive comment, I figured I had better pre-order so I didn't need to wait until the second round of CD burning. OK, so what about left over ammo. A couple of times I have had just one StuG left in Chance Encounter, with the others having been killed quite early (hopefully after taking out a M4 or two). Then my last StuG and my infantry take out the other M4s and then go to work on the US infantry, usually running out of HE rounds. Wouldn't it be possible to recover the HE rounds from the abandoned StuGs and use it in the remaining StuG. I'm no historian, but I'll bet a lot of rounds were scavenged like this on the battlefield. ------------------ desert rat wannabe

Can someone explain what hotseat is to me and whether the PBEM function works, and how, in the demo. There was very little info with the demo when I downloaded it, so I have just been playing the computer. Also, I noticed on this BBS that some people are talking about vehicles that aren't in my demo scenarios. Are these beta testers with extra scenarios that aren't available to most of us?

I am not so sure using AP on a MG nest is that gamey. I have used a StuG to pin down a MG while I moved some infantry across the field of fire and I didn't consider it gamey and would try it in real life. I don't think I would waste it all that way though. ------------------ desert rat wannabe

I typically just read, read, read and never post anything, but I had to go to the trouble of registering so that I could add my appreciation to that already posted for Fionn's efforts on this board. Keep in mind that quite a lot of us reading this board are the "silent masses" like me and I skim through the topics and look for information that Fionn and BTS provide, quite often skipping over usernames that add frivolous or aggresive messages. I have played all of the missions of the demo about 10 times each and can't wait for the final product. Expert assistance like that posted from Fionn is much appreciated, and I hope to see him again on here soon after he gets a break. ------------------ desert rat wannabe
