  1. Not sure we've seen this one already but at the 35 second mark you see a union jack patch on one of the guys and the guy next to him on the left looks like he might be holding a digital camera with a furry mic
  2. RF contractually obliged to lend a hand invading Taiwan? The Chinese must be sweating bullets.
  3. Hardly surprising, I don't think they're seriously negotiating at all, just going through the motions to keep up appearances so they can say they're doing it (as per usual). As most of us have been saying from the beginning without something miraculous its a lose/lose situation for russia. Like just about everything in this stupid episode they've adroitly painted themselves into a corner with nothing left besides channelling J Goebbles and keep on lying.
  4. I tend to agree in so far as the failings are nearly entirely due to human factors - poor leadership, tactics, morale, vehicle maintenance (including lack of things due to corruption) etc etc. I think the Russian kit is serviceable enough, it's the people that have failed so miserably at either using or supporting it. Edit - if you mean it's not on par with the latest western gear then yeah I tend to agree with that too.
  5. Yes I agree, the Express is a sensationalist tabloid and should not be used as a news source for these discussions.
  6. There was a follow up tweet re this one
  7. This story is a bit sentimental but it does appear to indicate a fairly static situation east of Kharkiv. Also the first time I've seen an automatic grenade launcher
  8. Really? Certainly looks like it. Man, this is just one complete clusterf**k after another. Unbelievable. Where's the Capt Picard with his head in his hand meme??
  9. Count this one as a mission kill? Hope no one was hurt.
  10. Interesting to see the rounds coming in. Note the UI is in English, so I assume this is a UKR operated UAV. Edit for version with details in English
  11. Someone was asking about under barrel grenade launchers somewhere in the thread... Well here's some being used to do something
  12. As far as I understand it.... The loses on these sites get counted based on the visual evidence uploaded to the internet. So he(she) may well be counting something that was destroyed or filmed a few weeks/days ago but only now been uploaded. I read a tweet that said he spent some time yesterday catching up on the UKR loses. So, for what it's worth, I don't think you can necessarily say lost in just a single day. That doesn't change the sentiment that the RF appears to be losing a awful lot of equipment.
  13. An interesting read, thanks. It includes some further info relating to the losses in the 331st regiment.
  14. Have we noted this? (sorry don't know how to do the thread) I wonder how correct this is, anyone else seen this to verify? I think I've seen the commander mentioned before.
  15. And something re the info wars side of things - VK is apparently the number one russian social media app and one of the only ones still operating. Comments suggest it was the admin account rather than a platform wide hack that was being used to distribute the message.
  16. (If true) Another indication of manpower being a problem - as one of the comments suggests, comms for co-operation might be interesting
  17. This sort of thing must be good for morale and motivation. Something I really doubt the RF forces will ever see. Another little factor favouring UKR in the equation.
  18. Re discussions about manpower (obviously can't verify accuracy of that figure) They do seem committed
  19. edit - adk posed the vid. Quite intense - according to the youtube comments - "He was saying: "I'm 300" (wounded) and then "I'm not finished, I'm still alive"
  20. Noticed this just now re loss of RF Colonel - I can't read it and don't have time to try and verify
  21. When I thought about this later a question I had about the Russian SPA's taking counter battery fire... Is the armour on those things thick enough to withstand near misses from long tube artillery? It seems rather risky to move that far forward, into the open and be under observation.
  22. Gets more interesting towards the end. Would appear UKR morale is pretty good.
  23. Ironic one of these seeing the same sort of service again
  24. Yeah I saw this scanning the feeds just now, mostly speculation, was waiting to hear more
