As i mentioned in my post (inside the wrong forum ...) thanks to bring this back steve.
But please can you tell us, are there any thoughts in the back of your mind about MP with more than 2 players at all ?! (RT of course)
+1
Like other small house quality game companies.....The Civil War chaps and the WWI Naval games come to mind. Both hyper realistic and designed by about 2 people each BUT have COOP play. Excellent to boast your MP community.

Ok our little group is already clamoring for an operational game....is there any company/Battalion level Eastfront wargames out there - Vassal or what not we could use? HPS even?
-
Have looked at most if not all the modules with VASSAL...No luck... any suggestion on a good board game (Vassal) at lower unit scale one could use for a pen and paper campaign map for 5 buddies?
Thanks
-
ok found it!!

HELLUVA ROAD OPENING and UK HELLUVA TAKEOVER are two new-ish good ones.
CIMIC HOUSE is also a very good mission re accomplishing a mission with minimal casualties.
Can't seem to find it. Is it under the H's in the scenarios for CMSF?

ok thanks ERWIN!

Looking to play a very large scenario with a friend. He is looking for large map with West vs. Reds.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Not as easy as it sounds and, therefore, not something we intend on doing.
I do understand people missing the replay function of TCP/IP WeGo. But we've been consistently saying since about 2007 that it's just not going to happen. For the same development effort we could do dozens of other BIG features people have been asking for. Since a small minority will ever use TCP/IP WeGo it simply isn't a good idea to squander so much of our limited resources on such a feature.
Steve
Pity......that being said - thank you for the WEGO option. Prefer that rather than screaming at my opponent to pause his side of the game

Or the price of one pint in Quebec City. Which depresses me since I love it there so much.

Any good European WWIII scenario out there you could recommend?

Daunbe Front HPS - Hey guys need a copy of this. Anyone willing to sell/trade. Using it for our latest operational CMSF game. Willing to trade or buy.
Thanks guys...
-
Have a link to Danube Front.....
Looks doable have looked at the HPS CMBN stuff in the past. Looks easy enough for us.
Hey anyone looking to sell or trade for Danube Front? $50.00 is a little much for any of the HPS games haha. Yes I have most back in the day
Erwin I would love to find a decent VASSAL counter game as we have used in the past. Just can't find any decent ones with smaller units involved. Say Battalion level or lower. Any recommendations?
All the best I am back to CMSF 1.32.....took a few weeks and 3 tickets

Hey guys what is the mod(s) for the European flavor items? Both vehicles and maps/terrain. Did a look see in the mods and maps didn't find anything..
Thanks!

I hear ya brother.......ok now going to try the NATO add-on
-
ok I think I found the right one!!!
Fingers crossed. Man do they have a bundle with everything included? I would pay just not to have deal with this crap every 2-3 years.
-
OK installed the WRONG 1.21 arrgh. Still searching for the 1.21 I can actually use.....
Wow this is silly. 5 weeks still trying to get the game going.

Don't envy you. I have to do same thing as my AVG keeps deleting the .exe files.
This is what has been advised in the past:
"If you have a CMSF module, then you do not need your base game license key (ever again). That's because when you activate a module with a module license key, the base game is activated automatically as well. There is no need to license the base game separately if you intend to install a module with it. For Windows Vista and Windows 7 users we recommend running the installers by right-clicking and selecting "Run as administrator" from the popup menu. The default directory for Battlefront versions is usually '\Program Files\Battlefront\Combat Mission Shock Force' for 32-bit versions of Windows and '\Program Files (x86)\Battlefront\Combat Mission Shock Force' for 64-bit versions of Windows. Please double-check where you install the game and ensure that modules and patches install to the appropriate directory. A new folder/directory in the game's actual directory would be an incorrect location to install a patch to. Most patches will replace the main game executable and you should get confirmation that the patch installed properly by looking for this version number at the bottom, middle of the main menu screen.
Here is the correct way to reinstall CMSF and its modules (as of patch v. 1.32):
• Install CMSF, do NOT license it if it is a Battlefront version.
• Install the v. 1.10 patch for your distribution (Battlefront or Paradox). This step is sometimes not needed if you have the Marines module, but bundles that include the Marines module may not have all of the necessary files that are part of the v. 1.10 patch.
• If you have the Marines module, install it now.
• If you have the Marines module, launch CMSF and use the Marines license key to activate (this activates both CMSF and the Marines module).
• If you have the British Forces module, install it now.
• If you have the British Forces module, launch CMSF and use the British Forces license key to activate it now.
• Install the v. 1.21 patch. Make sure to make the correct selections for the modules you have. Making an incorrect selection will result in modules disappearing or license key requests for modules you do not have. If you run into this problem reinstall the v. 1.21 patch again and make the correct selections. You must install the v. 1.21 patch BEFORE installing the NATO module.
• If you have the NATO module, install it now.
• If you have the NATO module, launch CMSF and use the NATO license key to activate it now.
• Install the v. 1.31 patch. Make sure to make the correct selections for the modules you have. Making an incorrect selection will result in modules disappearing or license key requests for modules you do not have. If you run into this problem reinstall the v. 1.31 patch again and make the correct selections.
• Install the v. 1.32 patch. Make sure to make the correct selections for the modules you have. Making an incorrect selection will result in modules disappearing or license key requests for modules you do not have. If you run into this problem reinstall the v. 1.32 patch again and make the correct selections."
Curious is the 1.21 still around? I selected 1.21a for I have the Marines at version 1.10. Was going to skip the Brits add-on cant find it. Go right to the NATO addon.
When I select the 1.21a I get sent to 1.32? That can't be right is it?
Thanks

Danube Front - ok purchased a copy from HPS.....man there programs still look so tired. The engine must be at least 10 years old...
Was there a link for the group that was using it for CMSF? Or I guess it would be the same system they use for the CMBN HPS operational game?

Ya having problems with my email I guess. My main login and user name doesn't seem to work. Must have written down wrong months ago.
Tried to setup another with the same email to see if it stated it already existed. Just keep getting errors on the new account via "spamming". Strange.
Oh well. Will have to setup a complete new email for the main page.
-
Sounds like a good idea. I have had nothing but a nightmare trying to install CMSF again. I have x3 copies and all the add-ons. Still can't even get to my ticket
Arrrgh
I think I might just break down and buy a bundled copy. Trying since Dec 18th to get this thing running.
ps does anyone else have 2 passwords on for the forum and the other for the Main page/repository?
-
Done it several times over the years can't seem to get access to the most recent ticket. I have sent in over 2 weeks ago. When I ask for new ID all I get is a new password. How does one get a new user name for the help desk. Since I use the help like once every 5 years I don't seem to have my correct login info. Boy will save this one for sure .....when I get it that is.
Checked my email I used to send to battlefront don't see any junk mail issues?
Using outlook 2013 not sure if it has any new features that I am unaware of.....
Would be nice just to log into the help desk and access my ticket.
