Well a WEGO TCP/IP or a pause key in RT so players don't have to have 4 hands to play the game re. click fest IMHO

That's a shame. I wonder why the Pacific always seems to get short shrift in wargaming. Heck, we haven't even had a good carrier game in almost a generation! Oh well. Guess I'll have to content myself with playing the Rising Storm Pacific mod for Heroes of Stalingrad on those inevitably sultry August nights.
The best Pacific wargame hands down is "WAR in the PACIFIC" by Gary Grigsby. It is of course a massive operational level wargame.

"Any chance in one of the cmbn modules?"
No. The modules typically will not add game play features. They will add content/units, scenarios and campaigns, but not major game play features.
I suspect that "co-op" and "multi-multi-player" are a long ways off in terms of development. I'm fairly certain we will be beyond the next family of games (West Front/Bulge Oct/Nov '44-'45); possibly beyond the first East Front game and probably beyond CMSF2 (or whatever the next modern game may be called) before such a feature is coded up.
Surprising. It seems to be in more and more games. Paradox is a big believer in Coop strategy games. I think you might miss the boat on this in the future. Oh well the list is long and one does have to prioritize.

After last night's election here ... "Not soon enough" is the answer to your question. Where'd my Canada go?
Right on track.....Full steam ahead
Hey the socialist left will probably win next time....

Well as mentioned the article indicated this week. Sounds like Friday at the latest?

You know, you can play both SF and BN in We-go. You don't have to play in real time at all.
I see Elmar got there first. Nevermind, it's worth saying twice..
Mind you if it is an MP game your looking for WEGO is only presently available in PBEM.
-
I guess BF will not be releasing it at this time in PDF?
How about to those that have preordered already ??
-
Well I'm proud of our Canadian head of state. Unlike our US cousins we stayed true to the faith during that unpleasant 13 colony rebellion

Any good historical fiction Normandy books?

I don't plan on getting PC:O, but it does have one brilliant feature that CM lacks:
Toggleable terrain grid!
Not having to make the choice between functionality and beauty would be awesome.
That would be a nice feature!
+1

*PBEM - TCP/IP. Using Drop Box you can play PCO as a combination of PBEM and TCP/IP without any connections through your ISP or any server. This is quick and easy and the turns can be done either back to back as in TCP/IP or saved for later as in PBEM. This is how I play most often and this is great!
Impressive!

Could anyone please advise of a good Canuck scenario. Nothing too large. Medium to small is fine. Could be a NATO scenario with Canadians in them. I was going to put a video up for it as I didn't see any Cdn ones on you tube.
Thanks so much

Where is your RT/WEGO line? How big is too big to handle on the fly?
Well in MP games I find more than a platoon somewhat harry. With NO pause and all. HEy and I am a FPS guy also

Panzer Command: Ostfront
PC games are more like TOW ones. Somewhat light on realism. Fun to play but not in the same category as CMBN.
-
Well the vidoes we have been seeing certianly seemed polished.
-
Man I just wish BF would make an add-on for CMBN like a CMC. There has to be demand for something like this?? I would take this before some or even any of the other add-on modules planned for CMBN. A basic operational system with an excellent tactical platform would indeed be revolutionar.... like CMBO was in its day.
Even the click fest like TOTAL War does something similiar.....mind you their tactical system is nothing like BF's.
-
That is why we will stick to WEGO, heh.
I hear ya!
-
If you really want a challenge I would recommend MP games. An AI at worst is good for tutorials and best for basic players.....Mind you the AI in BF products with good scenario creation are acceptable when the AI is in the defensive IMHO.
-
I think the same
Thanks packito....keep them coming.....

If anyone wants a Cyberboard module for St Lo., just PM me -- I've got it now from someone who made a good one.

Would be nice to play the battle video out afterwards......

Coop VS AI?
in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy

Hey I'm all for coop play!! Kinda slow though with PBEM which unless your really good at RT it's is the only option. Coop play in PBEM is extremely slow I have found IMHO. Doable but frustratingly slow.
Re. RT games....
There are various ways of have timed pauses or # of pauses per game etc or adding a number of variable time scales. Allows one to slow things down when it gets really harry![:)](//content.invisioncic.com/r254563/emoticons/default_smile.png)
