  1. It looks like I'll be in the minority but I'm not at all a fan of the fictional setting idea. For me it would really drop the plausability/immersion/realism that is central to CM. I played Full Spectrum Warrior which had a fictional opposition and I think it kinda killed the immersion and made it feel more like you were playing a simulator at some training centre rather than operating in a real locale with real enemies. I dunno, it just doesn't sound like CM to me.
  2. Nevermind the M1A1M4LTM249IRPAQ-2. It's all about chucking molten TNT, maggots!!
  3. Yeah, make with the turns, Prinzessin!! The time of mourning for your tank hunter team has passed.
  4. Yeah, I get that every once in a while. Just get your opponent to regenerate the last file and it should work.
  5. It's a rating just like any other in the game that affects their ability to do things. If done correctly it's more accurate than your model because it accounts for all the shades in between. It's only a problem if they use a depleting health system like other RTS games where one bullet takes down X% health per hit. Here's a quote from Madmatt:
  6. You've got contact now, maggot!!  A couple of more graves for your krauts to dig too! BWAAHAAHAHA!!!
  7. Great. The third Commie clown has come to join the party. I hate you all.

  11. This quote from the interview bothers me as well. Sounds like the earlier announcement that there will be a demo version was a bit premature. To be honest, I will most likely buy this game even if a demo version isn't provided. That said, if 1C decides not to produce a demo then I will wait several days/weeks after the game gets released in order to read comments from people who purchase it as soon as it becomes available. The main reason I want a demo is so that I can persuade friends and certain family members to buy the game. </font>
  12. From the theatreofwar.de interview (I don't think these are final specs yet): To run it decently: Pentium 4 2,6 GHz 512 MB RAM Nvidia Geforce 5700 or something similar Recommended: 1 GB RAM Geforce 6800
  13. Is your quote button malfunctioning?
  14. CM:SF - A Big yes. It'll be neat to see modern warfare given the CM treatment  ToW - Why Not? Every Waffler and Ruddy's mother should get this one! CMC - I DUNNO Need to see how it pans out!!  Now blah blah blah, Maggot!?
  15. There's your answer. This is how the game is played: first we debate about September of which year, then we speculate what is meant by early, and finally if mid- to late-September rolls around with no demo we start pestering again. Patience.
  16. Things are going well, the demo is nearing completion but it's still a little ways off.
  17. Well? It's been 4 minutes already and no answer!! What's up with these guys!
  18. What about the snowy climes? You forgot to mention the snowy climes, maggot!!
  19. TacAI but no StratAI, so I'm guessing the soldiers will just sit in their setup positions and shoot stuff that comes within LOS, but the forces won't move around to deal with threats.
