May 1943:

Axis killed two Allied air units this turn. Russia and USA now only have 2 air fleet each against 10 German.

On the Norway-Sweden border, Allies have been aggresive lately. After every Allied offensive move, Axis try to counter and put some cheap cannon fodder in the gap that is created.

Odessa conquered by Axis.

August 8, 1943:

Axis is slowly moving towards Kharkov. Unfortunately Germany developed Lv1 LR.

German air attacks russian Hq entrenched in the fortress Sewastopol, but no damage. Hqs in fortresses are nearly undestructable through airfleets (defence bonus 4 against air ;) ).

Heavy fights in Norway/Sweden.

The Air tech advantages have shifted frequently in this game.

When Barbarossa began Russia quickly gained a L1 vs German L0 jets. After some turns it shifted. Germany was L2 vs L1. After a short amount of turns Russia advanced quickly towards L3 vs L2. After that, Germany got L3. Russia and Germany got L4 simultenously and Germany then got L5 some turn before Russia. Many shift in Jet advantage that is. Germany have had bad luck with long-range. Only L1 despite the first Long-Range chit bought already before Germans landed in England. Ofcourse I have more chits on Long-Range now, but I will not reveal how many.

When Barbarossa began, USA had L1 vs L0 against Germany too. However, most part of the later stages have seen Germany being equal or ahead of USA in terms of Jet tech.

August 1943:

Germany are gaining some ground behind Denepr. Kharkov under attack.

On the Sweden-Norway border, Russia maintains the agression but no land gain yet.

USA had retreated from Portugal a while ago but are now outside the coast again bombarding Lisbon. Axis attacks one of the 2 American Battleship with a sub. The German cruisers are up near Sweden to attack west Sweden coast area if Russians advance so that might be a reason why USA went to Portugal again.

September 9, 1943:

Axis conquered 3 hexes now around Kharkov and reduced the entrenchment to 0. Therefore it will fall next turn probably.

The sub near Portugal dived against the attacking battleships and survived this way one turn. All 4 hexes around it are occupied by US ships, so no escape ;) . Only some airfleets can save it. At least one is missing in the east...

US transports are looking for empty cities..

September 1943:

Kharkov taken in the east.

In the portugal area, the Axis sub dived 1 out of 2 battleships attacking it. Axis air fleet shows up and (combined with the sub) kill one of the US Battleships.

Russians are fighting their way in west Sweden near the coast. Axis cruisers (one very experienced since bomarding Ireland) bombard them and that can be important for relieving pressure on the hardly pressed Norway.

October 3, 1943:

An important victory for Allies !

Prepared the last 5 turns. No airfights in Russia during this time.

All US and russian airfleets have been positioned in Sweden to do a deadly strike to Axis.

Now 2 german airfleets and a corps killed, romanian army destroyed, cruiser damaged. Russia gains ground in Sweden.

In the west US landings in France, Brest taken. Transports waiting at Spain.

The sub dived again and is still alive with 1 strength point...

Rambo:

It seems Russia is gaining control of Sweden/Norway now. Just Germany attacked with a bomber and cruiser and destroyed both russian cruiser. But Germany lost another airfleet, same for USA.

Now it is standing: 6 allied airfleets in Sweden against 5 german in Russia, one in Spain, and one newly bought. That makes 6 against 7, but no enemy air in the Norway area any more smile.gif . Germany has only 4 armies, tank, some corps and Hq in Norway left. One US HQ is in Sweden, supporting the airfleets ;) . I dont tell where the others are... ;)

But I have a third front in France now smile.gif .

October 31, 1943:

Finally the sub in the atlantic is killed.

Germany operates air to Denmark, again heavy airfights, no air losses, but one german army killed. Russian units again in the outskirts of Oslo smile.gif .

The german air is missing in the east: only one russian corps killed this turn. Axis advances slow down.

November 28, 1943:

Russia kills a german tank in Norway. The airfights reveal: Germany moved all but 2 airfleets to Denmark and bought a new one. Now it is 6 against 5 in Denmark.

Brest still US held, but Axis forces are attacking in France. They are superior in number.
