RaRa Posted February 1, 2012 Share Posted February 1, 2012 Newbie here! :cool: Just picked up this game and thought I'd write a little journal here on my experiences! I got SC2/WaW/PDE, and I will admit I play PDE 99% of the time! I love the what "if" scenarios, my favorite is the 1947 "Russians are coming" scenario. Really fun! Although I Haven't been able to win yet. Even though I'm able to land in France and push the Russians out I'm never able to gain much ground. I've found this is due to the fact that I'm a very defensive/passive player and compulsively reinforce my 9 strength units haha. I need to learn how to play. Also like the 1939 "Storm of Steel" scenario. I like that you can start earlier and plan your strategy a bit better. But alas, I haven't been able to beat the AI because I'm too passive. I focus a LOT on research and find that even though I have 5/5 with Bombers/Air/Range with USA/UK that I have barely ANY planes to abuse them! LOL! And than the Russians just get stomped because I don't do many invasions, just a little bit of action in the med. But I won't give up! As you can see I LOVE playing as the allies! Of course I was happy to still have them in the game, but I was shocked because my army was completely destroyed, I thought they would have just surrendered. I for myself love the PDE 1946 Case Neptune campaign the most. But boy, how i envy you! All these other great games still ahead of you. I can promise you: they get better and better with every release! Enjoy your SC2 WAW and PDE campaigns, they are indeed very good. Guess it's time for me to start up another game. :cool: I really wanna try to force an early Axis surrender, first by taking Italy, but I can never get that damn border city!
