  1. I get a "FAILED(Animate_replay_list): Segmentation Violation. I have sent you a copy Hubert. Please advise.
  2. K-man, I will send my axis turn tonight. See you....
  3. I have not had that pleasure as of yet my Germanic friend. I have had them hit high morale and readiness units for 4 to 7 points of damage on one strike. Not fun for sure. Let's play a PL E-mail match???? I would be honored to play someone as experienced as your self. See you....
  4. I had the one match in Timskorn's tourney against K-man(damn strong player), and kinda waited for a couple of my PL friends before I played anymore. Played 2nd and 3rd game playing 4-6 now. Love the game, over all the improvements are strong balanced and fun. I like the combined arms you need to win. I know alot fo people complain of the Stukas, but you know what they were that strong in the early years of the war. Very realistic. The two shot tanks very nice. The ability to fire Generals and bring the young studs also realistic. I mean what else can you get for 29 bucks. I mean I come home and play a couple or three turns night. This has been going on for almost three years. What a bargain. Thanks to Hubert, all the battlefronters and the beta team and the resident experts that continue to try and make it an even better game. One suggestion I would make, the Urals event should be based on so many turn after the begining of Barbarossa, not the assault on Smolensk. I mean they were full speed evacing industry after 3 or 4 weeks. maybe give this and increasing percentage after 4 months and increasing until it acitivates. Just my 2 cents thanks to all you guys, will be more active in my drive for 400 posts. Always enjoy reading even if not typing repsonses. See you.....
  5. Good luck to theround three guys. K-man, I want a panzerliga rematch soon, or just a plain rematch if you are not part of Panzerliga. Sorry about your Patriots dude, helluva a football team. See you guys.....
  6. Just a side note, my first AH games were, "Stalingrad" and "Victory in the Pacific" at the age of 12, 28years ago. Still have both. Got addicted young, was by then reading as many WW2 books as my school libraries and my father bought the Time series of WW2 books, as well as another set written by the Swedes. Luckily I have been given both sets. I digress though.I think the retreat option is included already. In WW2 mass force was used to smash a holein a line. When an army went on the offensive, it was not to drive a unit backwards. It was an attempt to use a schwerepunkt to open a hole, allow units to stream through and surround. Only counter attacks were really used to push an enemy backoff of a ridge or maybe limited assaults to capture a better starting point(bridgeheads etc) for an offensive. Units at the point of attack usually would break and retreat only to be reformed some miles to the rear of the original front lines. IE, a cadre being rebuilt at a reduced cost, basically some replacements and new equipment. All the other ideas have merit, hexes though would require a significant increase of unit density. This may change the game quiet drastically. I have CEAW and was disturbed by the time comsuming drives that seems to put the Axis further and further behind schedule. I admit I did not play too many times though, could have been a noob problem. As always just my 2 cents, wargamer to other wargamers......
  7. Simple put, the best in the business. I played the vaunted '41 scenario as Axis(100%) and was impressed how hard put I was. Finally knocked out the Russkies in winter of 45 and pushed allies out of France about the same time. Having played PBEM or TCP almost exclusively for 18 months, I was extremely impressed with AI and as time allows I will play through all scenarios......
  8. Just wanted to wish all SC2ers a joyful and safe Holiday season. I am enjoying the time with my family and hope the same for you all.....
  9. Yep, luckiest I have ever been, two cruisers and and a battleshp join the RN to form a solid Free French battle fleet.....
  10. Hi Timskorn, Konigs reports loss to K-man, he is advancing to next round..... good luck guys... See you
  11. Sorry for not posting for a couple of days guys. Was under the weather. "ALLIES Agree on Nazi policies for a unified Europe." British and US forces to finish the fight against the Japanese and cast off Uncle Joe and his communist regime....... Too much K-man not enough Konigs. I only hoped you would not follow up last round with more attacks. Not enough juice left in the Allied Arsenal. Good luck in round 2 my friend. When tourney is over look me up again for another rematch. See you guys and good luck to the rest of the "Timskorn invitational Tourney" guys.
  12. Not much to report, slaughter attack new Kuybyshev uncovers a large group of units. Try to take down AT in the west no such luck. Quiet else where. See you.....
  13. Trench warfare seems to be the order fo the day. Only real action is an air assault on a German Artillery unit near Paris. See you...
  14. We continue the battle of Kuybyshev and bring in more troops. Egypt forces try to salvage front as Expected supply problems for Axis did not arise from cutting Railroad. German army down in the West. More reinforcements arrive. Lookin bleak, need a big miscue by K-man and that is not likely.
  15. Kuybyshev is occupied again, more troops advance into region. US forces in Egypt do and amphib landing and destroy a German armywith TAC bomber help and the USN. A corp lands closer to Damascus and cuts the Rail road to Axis forces in and near Amman. In France a TAC bomber flys and reinforcements land. Rain seems to be hittingthe Axis air armies last few turns. This is allowing for proper resupply with no interuptions. See you
  16. Kuybyshev is retaken, Tiger almost kia. More troop driven to assualt the German forces in the Area. West allies fly entire West Airforce on the lead tiger and engage with a Brit corp. Tiger is down. West forces repostion units and bring in reinforcements. In to the valley rides the Mid east force as we cross Suez and advance in to Sinai desert. HQ bombarded. We await the counter ttack.....
  17. Yes, Soviets run to meet the Axis forces and will decide her fate on the Offensive as a defensive posture met disastrous casulties last time. Allies reposition forces after taking heavy casulties. An AT attacks an exposed Tiger, both take losses. US forces cautiously advance over the suez, we excpect some devious trap or well prepared defensive positions..... Climax of game seems to have passed and seems an advantage to Axis. Allied commanders still have high morale and strong forces, we will continue to press home the assualt on fortress Europe...
  18. Soviet commisars driving forces out of the mountains to retake Kuybyshev and punish the low supply forces of the Axis. Sitting back entrenched did not work the first time... NA force postioning itself for an offensive into the Mideast. France front forces take advantage of clear weather in December and fly some planes to engage Luftwaffe and strafe some troops. Relatively quiet over all.
  19. All out grab for Paris on the Same turn Cairo fell turns ugly for Allies. Forces pull into a hedge hog position and ope for bad weather as Air forces recoup losses form last turn. Bomber Harris is fired for loosing the Brtish bomber(mis click, forgot to get off bomber toreview damage of Paris, and Italians shoot them down, lesson learned) Egyptian forces lament the loss of Corp who was allowing too many soldiers liberties(bathing) in the Suez canal. Arty and USN heavily damage on IT bb blocking, notice another and engage it also. Egypt forces ready to continue in the desert. USSR forces still recovering and looking for an oppurtunity as it seems all Axis air except Rumanians has left the east. See you.....
