JG11Preusse
hello, tested a quick battle with tanks only just now. i know its dark at night, but im sure a tank will recocnize an other tank direkt in front of him, if 20 meters away in quick battle at least, you almost need to ram enemy vehicles until recognizing them
stikkypixie
Spotting is influenced by ambient light. Try playing on a night with a full moon and no clouds .
MikeyD
It was actualy kind'a funny in CMSF we'd regularly get complaints that the game was 'broken' - the nights were either unplayably dark or unusually bright. After we asked what time/date/month it was and checked an almanac it turned out either no moon on a cloudy night or a big full moon shining like a spotlight directly overhead.

Can't blame us if this information was no where to be found in the manual. If it hadn't been for those threads, none of us would have known. I understand that it is not possible to document every feature and that some things have to be learned the hard way, but the perceived attitude from your post is not very helpful, even though you probably meant something else. Moonlight is a very neat and unique feature, but you can't expect people to automatically know that it matters, precisely because it is so unique.
