Green guys bunch?

To busy playing to research this much but I noticed something I hadn't seen before.

In the screenshot the bottom left squad is "green" and the top right is "regular". I am sure I gave a default "move" order move to both but at the end you can clearly see the green squad has decided to huddle up so they can all catch the same arty shell.

I am wondering if this was chance or do poor quality troops huddle up like this as they are bad.

the "bunching up" is abstracted, they are really not that bunched up, the thing is its done like this because then you would have 1 squad fill lots of action squares, this way 1 squad fits into 1 action square. makes things simpler

I think you have missed my point. Bottom left squad is "Green". I haven't edited the screeny but they ARE filling up a single action tile.

Top right is "regular". It is spread across 3 action tiles.

Both are 12 man squads. It isn't abstracted as those guys are literally in those positions. I am wondering if anyone else has seen this bad behaviour by green troops.

It's one team per tile, so an Ami megasquad should be spread over 3 tiles unless terrain or some other factor says otherwise. Given that terrain is flat and open, and they're not all trying to huddle in the same shell hole, both squads should be spread out.

I don't think its green troops, I have noticed that some spots on the map will accept moves where the whole squad goes to the same tile instead of spreading the teams out. I'm not sure what the logic is.

I'm playing not running around testing at the moment. Cramped conditions was not the case here. It was a large open field.
