Cid250
A lot of gamers have already a 64 bits operating system... And the 32 bits era is comming to an end... specially in the gamers PC due to the fact that the 4Gb limit is becoming the standar and very soon we will se the first games with a recommendation of 8Gb of RAM (as soon as 2 or 3 years, may be). Considering how huge will be a batallion size game, with each individual soldier depicted, is not a bad thing to introduce 64bits support in the comming years. If this step it's done, and eventually, this game is expanded to support multiplayer cooperative modes such as 4vs4 players... The today 64bits Operating systems not limited by the ammount of RAM, will be of great help... Will be possible to see this game supporting 64bits executables in the 2012 development cycle?.
Jonny(FGM)
Steve has said it's on the "to do" list Id bet it'll be in the next full title (not module) as by then most of the 32 bit systems should have died : )

That doesn't make any sense. The game doesn't use close to the 3 GB virtual (4 GB when on a 64 bit kernel) right now. And if you do what you say there then you would suddenly have battles that run out of memory for 32 bit users but not 64 bit users. Games recommending that you have 8 GB of RAM (physical non-swap memory) still don't use more than 3 GB virtual - for that very problem. They just like the OS to hold on to file contents not is not currently mapped instead of going disk block fetching.

In 2016, when the next full title will be released, most players run 128bit systems. 32 bit software won't be supported anymore by then...
Krilly
Also, please support some higher resolution menu's. It's a bit enoying having tiny menu's on high resolution monitors.
Pvt. Ryan
And real 3D. None of this simulated 3D crap. I want to have to duck when a Tiger turns its turret towards me.
Redwolf
We also need the cold of the winter on the Ukrainian steppe to creep out of the monitor. And the smell in summer. But not any smell related to the Peng thread.
