Commanderski
Do your troops, tanks etc..carry over from one battle to the next? I'm not sure if they do but I am thinking they might. The reason I am asking is I have not been able to win the last battle of the Russian Campaign. I don't seem to have enough troops or tanks left to stop them even though towards the end I can't see many Germans left. I think I can't see how many Germans are there as I have nobody in the area(alive) to see them. Thanks in advance. Warren.
Redjac
I had a tiger tank that survived a couple battles. I noticed it was the same commander by name with the war merit badges I awarded showing up for consecutive battles. So I would say yes. Its hard to track as attrition is so high. Not one soldier lived through more than 2 or 3 battles. Also some of the scripted OOB leave out certain units and I am not sure if those show up in later battles
kakaprutt
for sure they do, that is the reason why i'm using intense micromanagement to carry them from battle to battle, frequently specialising some infantry with antitank grenades or so, and sending them to destroy tank one by one. i rarely finish campaigns with more than 100 dead among my troops. the longer they live, the better they are, the better equiped they are
Sneaksie
Of course, surviving troops are carried to the next battle. I suggest re-naming your favorite units with experienced crews to keep track of them easier. What is the problem you have in the last Russian scenario? You only need to hold up the last time, then tank units from 10th Tank Corps arrive at last with air support and you should handle the last engagement with ease. Commanderski
I usually make through with some of the starting tanks of the battle and when the tank units from 10th Tank Corps show up, they kick the Germans butt. The last time I tried it I saved the artillery and rockets until the end and that really did a number on the last advancing units. What is the trigger for the Germans to win? The only thing I can think of maybe a surviving tank crew crosses the bridge? I haven't been guarding the bridge as I need everybody but the next time I'll just move the jeeps down there to see what happens.
