Softbuild limits not working in 1.03

I have enabled the softbuild limits option so that I can access artillery/anti-air

units etc, which are not available in the default campaigns. But since version 1.03 it is not allowing me to research these units.

Help appreciated.

Have you tried using the editor to enable research for these units? You can set a min/max that research can go 0-5 and it may be set to a Max of 0.

I've just tested it on my end and it still appears to work as it did before, perhaps try what crispy131313 suggests and see if that helps.

Actually I think it's a good idea if they didn't be available to buy with soft limits. I like soft limits as they allow me to have greater control over the composition of my army, but it does not mean I want, or want my opponent to, buy units that are not really compatible with the scale of the scenario. So how about introducing this change in 1.04? Those who want them badly can always re-enable them in the editor

I can understand this but to be honest it is a tough call as once you have an option it is difficult to take it away after players are used to having it especially since there are those that like the option as it is.

That being said we'll be more careful in the future to set it up the way you suggest at the outset.

when you start the game you can decide on soft build limits or not - in my version they are forbidden, but I give a lot of choices.
