Erwin
Without warning, my system now crashes when I try to access a saved game. (I have over 300 scenarios and campaigns and almost 150 saved game files. Is there a limit?)
Moon
No limit, but perhaps the game version doesn't match?
Schrullenhaft
Is this a particular save game file that you are trying to open up or any saved game file ? It's possible that this file is corrupt and you may need to remove it from the directory that it is in (typically '\Program Files\Battlefront\Combat Mission Shock Force\Game Files\Saved Games') with the Windows Explorer File Manager.
Erwin
On the main menu screen, when I click on SAVED GAME (to access the games I have saved) , the game crashes to desktop. I can still click on BATTLE and load a new battle no problem.
Chainsaw
I had the same once. I deleted all the save game files and it disapered.
Schrullenhaft
That would be the solution. Deleting or moving the files from the 'Saved Games' folder. I assume one of the files in there is corrupt and when CMSF attempts to read their headers to display the files, it crashes.
Erwin
Ok, I found that the problem files was a save that I made of a game's final turn that would include the results screen. I guess the system doesn't like that? Anyhow, all seems well now. Thanks...
