mike the wino2
Hopped on my comp today and fired up CMBB. It popped up the re-size screen option, I have not re-sized my screen recently. Checked it and hit accept as it was correct. But now I have no sound. All other apps have normal sound. Quick fix? Brand new Intel P4 2.4 processor w/ new motherboard. Using built in sound from motherboard. Running ATi Radeon 8500 128 DDR video card. Schrullenhaft
Did you possibly hit Shift+S to turn off the sound ? I assume that your sound was working previous on this computer. Have you changed anything, like drivers or updated anything else ?

Frenchy
You'll also find you have no fog with the ATI Radeon...
Schrullenhaft
Have you cycled through the sound options in CM yet with 'Shift+S' ?
mike the wino2
Tried the cycle thing before uninstall but no go. You know Frenchy , I am playing a game at night in the fog and it hadn't occured to me that there is no fog. Not that this is a deal breaker but what is that all about. Is there anyway to get fog with Radeon?
mike the wino2
Ah poo-stick! No fog for me. But since Radeon does such a nice job with DOAC I have plans to change. {editted to add I did a search and found there is no solution} [ February 20, 2003, 12:35 PM: Message edited by: mike the wino ]
Schrullenhaft
Does your sound work for other things on your computer (especially other DirectX games) ? What soundchip/codec is on your motherboard ?

If I had any patience at all for things computer, I would have done more work to find problem. But I don't and it works now, except for the fog thing....*grumble, piss, moan*
