scenario editor: text garbled, why?

Recommended Posts

Just to further clarify what rune said. Make sure that you're saving in a "DOS" or "ASCII Text" format and not in a "Word" format. The extension will mean nothing (other than to launch the associated program when the data file is double-clicked) if the data format is still the native Word format (which has all sorts of formatting/document data).

...well fellas, a sincere thankyou to all of you...

...as shrullenhaft noted, simply popping an extension on the end of the title doesn't mean squat - after his explanation, the proper way to go about this matter became much clearer.

***shrullenhaft: i notice your name appearing on a great many of the posts appearing on this tech board, each seems wonderfully concise and informed. you are a genuine asset to this community!

...again, thanks to all who took the time...
