usgubgub
I have another laptop on which I am running Windows Vista. When I save a new scenario from the editor or a game in progress, the game can find them as long as I do not re-boot. Explorer cannot find them at all, and after re-booting they disappear altogether, not even the game can retrieve the saved files. Is this something you have come across? Is there a solution? I would be grateful for any help.
Moon
This can happen when you do not run the game with full administrator rights. Please right-click on the game exe, select Properties, and make sure that "Run as administrator" is set. Your Vista UAC (User Access Control) is probably preventing the save game file from being written, and running with full admin privileges should solve the issue. Schrullenhaft
You are seeing a "feature" of Windows Vista (and 7's) UAC - User Account Control, which prevents the writing of data to the '\Program Files\' directory. You can disable UAC or you can follow the advice in this thread to find missing PBEM files (which is just a few threads below this one).
