Mord
Anybody know the wav number for it? Most are self explanatory but I can't figure it out. Mord.

Mord
LOL No I just meant they had numbers like gun 5, gun 7 followed by a suffix...but anyway thanks man, that was the one! That stuttering sounding stock wav was driving me crazy. Mord.

Mord
oooh look forward to this one I love sound mods. OOPS, sorry Phil...I was just trying to replace it with one of the mods that already exists. There's three really good ones AKD's, Oddball's and the 1.2103 mod by Nemboo. I've been mixing and matching between these to get a balance of sounds I like. Mord.
phil stanbridge
I'm with you. I tried to download Odballs mod but it was corrupted. I tried it twice as well.

phil stanbridge
Cheers that worked. Is it just a matter of copying/pasting the selected sounds files into my sound effects folder?
Elmar Bijlsma
Just make a Z folder in DATA and put it in there. It should then get used in place of the original without overwriting it. If for some reason you want to revert back, you needn't replace or re-install, merely remove the offending file from the Z folder.
Mord
What Elmar said, + make sure to remove the suffix "_alt" from any wavs you might like or they won't play. Mord.
theFightingSeabee
I have a good M2 sound also. To me, it's fairly authentic. It's a big booming sound rather than the kachink kachink sound where you can hear the links falling. Trust me, when the .50 is going off, everyone around knows it, and they can't hear the links falling. The wav is on my dead computer, but I can email it to you so you can check it out and see if it suits you. The others you mentioned above are really good too.
