bmisc53
SC-GC sounds great! One question though: has the AI for war status been changed to allow for Russia and Japan to not be at war after Pearl Harbor? Some of the earlier attempts at global war scenarios using the existing SC engines had Russia and Japan automatically be at war after Pearl Harbor which radically alters the WW2 "landscape" from a historical simulation view point. Bill101
Yes, it's been changed so that the USSR and Japan can be at peace while the rest of the world is in flames. So with the Global Conflict game things will be more historical and realistic. That said, it won't stop players from trying out "what if" strategies, so if the Japanese feel brave then they can attack the USSR in 1941. Now we'll be able to see if it could have made a significant difference!
SeaMonkey
This is a great thread, ..well it could be....just depends on how much Bill101 is allowed to discuss. As far as the what ifs, how about a little earlier conflict scenario like around 1939 with the Nomonhan incident? Bill....can we go further on what the game will model as far as earlier beginnings? I'm talking about the "official" campaigns?
Hubert Cater
SeaMonkey, I can easily answer this one Truthfully there is not much to say right now for earlier beginnings in terms of official campaigns as we really haven't decided on that just yet. Granted that is not an exciting answer but it really is the best answer we can give at the moment. Hubert
SeaMonkey
On the contrary my dear Mr. Cater, that is indeed an exciting answer as you and the development team are open to suggestions?
