huhr
I am getting a new computer with Vista but I have all the old games like cmbb, cmbo, and cmak. I was wondering if I can just install them and play. I know windows xp had the ability to play games in different version of windows. thanks
Panama Red
Go here and try the Demo's when you get you Vista PC. If the Demo plays on you PC, you know the game will play too. http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=0&Itemid=318 Battlefront put out a 1.04 patch for CMAK and CMBB conveting them from XP to Vista and they cost $5 each.
dieseltaylor
I got a backward version of Vista and made my new computer XP. Until windows 7 why wrestle with an operating system that has not really ever taken off. * http://vista.blorge.com/2008/05/04/vendors-push-away-vista-and-offer-xp-to-stay-competitive/ My machine is an Acer : ) purchased mid 2009. Wiki says As of the end of August 2009, Windows Vista (with approximately 380 million internet users) is the second most widely used operating system on the internet with an approx. 23% market share, the most widely used being Windows XP with an approx. 69% market share. [10] SO it looks like Windows 7, being introduced now, will eclipse Vista and make inroads into XP.
Redwolf
A lot of people could play well enough by setting AA to 2x and "override application setting". The rest seemed to have success with the 1.04 patches for AK and BB.
