[MyIS] Buffpuff
Call it nostalgia but after years of putting CMBO to rest I decided to re-install this masterpiece back on to my hard drive. Hell I don't even remember what I was running as to hardware when I got this game years ago. But I ran into a problem of getting the dreaded "exception" error and not being able to see the load screen. I decided to try running the .exe file under a compatibility mode (using Windows 2000 as the selected mode) and viola...I'm running CMBO with a DX10 card and the latest drivers without a hitch. Here's my specs: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz 2 MB Corsair DDR2 800 RAM BFG GeForce 8800GT with 169.25 NVIDIA drivers Hope this helps some of you who may be running into compatibility problems

TufenHuden
I've been running all 3 CM's without a problem. AMD64 X2 4400 DC 3-gigs ram-PC-3200 8800 GTS-320mb XP-pro SP-2 Nvidia drivers 174.93+NV Tray..... Usually might be nvidia drivers or installing new drivers but old drivers still in registry. Install DriverCleaner. There are 2 versions. 1.5 free the 3.0 like $9.99. When you install this. 1st-uninstall drivers on regular mode-then reboot/get to safe mode go to drivercleaner-then pick nvidia driver-click on cleaning until it says finished cleaning. Then reboot-put new nvidia drivers in- shouldn't be no problems with CM..... http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/Other-DRIVERS-TOOLS/Others/Driver-Cleaner-Professional-15.shtml [ May 09, 2008, 12:18 AM: Message edited by: TufenHuden ]
