iso template.bmp help

Recommended Posts

I made my map for PAC 3840x3840 and the world map I made fits fine on it on 256x128

I found each horizontal is 15px, each vertical 30px.

But when I use the "iso template.bmp" overlayed on the bmp of the world it doesnt match up. When imported to PAC it looks fine, but I want to adjust the late in Photoshop to do the least amount of map adjustment on PAC editor.

what am I missing?

source.bmp = 3840x3840 = 256x128 in the editor (PERFECT)

but the grid to smooth out features doesnt match up to the source.bmp.

Big Al,

To be honest I am not sure I understand the question or the process you are using here. I think you are using the Map Generator utility and when you import the map.txt file into the SC Editor it comes out to 256x128, correct?

After that I am lost, what are you trying to do with the iso template.bmp?

Just to clarify, usually the iso template is used separately from the Map Generator, i.e. it is a helper to create maps by hand and usually the bitmap for the map would match in size to what would be shown in the Editor. For example, if you lay the iso template over a map bitmap and it fits nicely matching what would be similarly seen in the Editor using the editable tiles then you've resized the bitmap for the map correctly.
