MEYERDOG44
This same question probably has been answered a million times already, but i couldnt find it anyway..so i apologize in advance... Why is it that sometimes the PBEM files arrived to your opponent as text files??? i have been playing with this opponent for a long time and this doesn't always happen... It just seems that a few turns thoroughout our battle are recieved as text... Thanks
Redwolf
They *are* text files. What you mean is probably "as text in the main body, not as an attachment". Make sure you *attach*, not *include* the move when composing the mail with the move. And make sure you don't use MS Outlook or variants.
foamy
Can you expand on the advice not to use MS outlook, I use it all the time for PBEM (10 - 20 times a day) without ever having a problem, at least I don't think I have problems?
Schrullenhaft
It's an additional step, but I recommend zipping/compressing your PBEM files. This helps prevent them (to a certain extent) from getting corrupted in transit. They'll attach to an email in any client without becoming the body of the message, which sometimes causes problems for some players.
