M1A1TC
I am installing new OS on my PC, and starting from scratch. Do I need to un-liscence the game of this one in order for it to play on the new one? What if I dont remember the liscence code to use on the new PC? Help please
Jason1980
Yes you should un-licence the game. The licence code should be present in the text box when you goto un-licence. Just cut and paste, save as text file. Save on removable disk or you could write it down. It is also available in the email Battlefront sent you. I also think you can sign into Battlefronts web site and get it.
cabal23
Worst case scenario, BF will email it to you. I lost mine twice, and got it in hours.
Moon
eLicense "fingerprints" your PC using various bits of information. There are various "levels" that we could use, but we're using a very loose setting for the fingerprint. Meaning that if you change one or two things about your PC, normally you don't need to re-license games that have been activated on that computer. But it's never 100% certain if it will work or not unfortunately, so it's always a good idea to un-license first before you make any major modifications (and installing a *new* OS is definitely major and in most cases will trigger the re-license window). For any purchases made after Oct 1, 2007 (which is when we launched our new store; wow it's almost a year!), you can log into www.battlefront.com/store (i.e. under the STORE Menu). On the left side you'll find a link with "Account Maintenance". When you open that you will be able to change your User Details, Addresses etc. but also look up all your orders under the Orders tab. There you will find links to re-download (valid for 365 days after your first download and a max of 10 downloads) as well as your license key. Lastly, you can always email elicense@battlefront.com if you lost your key, or had a PC failure and couldn't unlicense etc.
