Tactical Wargamer
Can anyone be kind enough to recommend to me maps/scenarios (bigger the better) that have nicely done bridges with Rivers/streams? Thanks So much.
RockinHarry
Can anyone be kind enough to recommend to me maps/scenarios (bigger the better) that have nicely done bridges with Rivers/streams? Thanks So much. check out France 40 map based on RHZ Fall Gelb scenario of mine. Bannon DC
I've got one that is set in Washington, DC. This is my neighborhood and there are some great bridges over Rock Creek Park. High heavy bridges. Good for H2H or axis vs. AI. So if you can get over the idea of Tiger Tanks rolling through the US Capital, you might like this one. Map just focuses on the Kalorama Neighborhood... not Capital Hill and White House. "Bridges at Kalorama Heights" http://www.the-scenario-depot.com/scenario_details.html?command=search&db=scenarios.db&eqskudatarq=240 Here's one with a twist on bridge crossing. You "build a bridge" to replace a destroyed one. Engineers remove daisy chain mines to make the bridge passable. Fun but difficult. Philippe
One of these days I'm going to load up that scenario and play it. The only problem will be that the only thing I will really want to do is to destroy one particular building located fairly close to the circle just over the bridge. That was the prison run by the French embassy in which I had the misfortune to have much of my early schooling (they even covered the windows with grey paint so you couldn't get distracted by looking outside). Last time I was in the neighborhood (over ten years ago) I was very pleased to notice that it had been converted into an Algerian Consulate. Sweet revenge.
Bannon DC
Ahahah... that is ironic. Philippe, it sounds like you need to blow a lot of stuff up to finally set yourself right. Keep shooting, pal. :)
umlaut
Hi I´ve made a few (all are axis vs AI): City Salient, a CMBB operation, february 43, in a russian city divided by a river: http://www.the-proving-grounds.com/scenario_details.html?command=search&db=scenarios.db&eqskudatarq=1518 Guns `n´ Chaperones: A CMAK (ETO) scenario in Normandy, august 44. The map is divided by a river and the bridges are meant to play a crucial part in the outcome of the scenario. http://www.the-proving-grounds.com/scenario_details.html?command=search&db=scenarios.db&eqskudatarq=1407 Jaws of defeat: CMAK scenario set in Italy, july 44. Many similarities with "Guns `n´ Chaperones" - but on a smaller scale. http://www.the-proving-grounds.com/scenario_details.html?command=search&db=scenarios.db&eqskudatarq=1338 Enjoy - and please be so kind as to leave some sort of feed back on The Proving Grounds if/when you´ve finished the scenario. Cheers
