  3. Brown smoke? don't think i've ever seen that, only Black and White. What about Black smoke?
  4. Chalk up another yes, the fun and enjoyment it brings outweighs any other argument.
  5. I guess i'm the elusive 1% then, it never worked for me. Thankfully every time I buy I new module i get a new code which has stopped me needing to contact support on at least two ocassions.
  6. To clarify here’s an example of my troops “running” into enemy fire British Section occupying the bottom floor of a multi story building start taking incoming fire (from the front) eventually the weight of fire proves to much and they bug out (which in mind is a rout since at this stage I have no control over them). Now the building has two doors one in the front (toward fire) and one in the rear. Which door do they take? In my experience the front one and get massacred, now this doesn’t happen every time but often enough that I have noticed, and shouted my frustration at the buggers From what I remember this happened in CMX1 when the friendly map edges were incorrectly defined in the scenario, hence my earlier suggestion. Anyone else have experience with this? Next time it happens I’ll post screenshots and make a save available so people can look into it.
  7. I generally find that when my troops rout they either run toward the enemy, or into a deadly open field of fire both options usually result in many casualties. Not what would happen in reality, maybe something to do with incorrect definition of friendly map edges in scenarios?
  8. If you uninstall with unlicensing the license is lost, hence the need to contact support. Not the best system imo, but support is very helpful!
  9. I have the following system AMP XP+6400 Dual Core Nvidia 8800 Ultra 2GB Ram OS - XP SP3 I run it maxed out with excellent frame rates, only time I ever noticed some slow down was with some of the obscene sized maps a couple of people have made. As I generally don’t play maps that size I’m perfectly happy, all the stock campaigns and scenarios run fine.
  10. just updated my drivers and can confirm same flashing issue with buildings, not noticed this before with previous driver version. Had I known this was he cause I wouldn't have updated ...doh. Still having fun though
  11. Sounds like an overheating or graphics card issue to me, tried updating your graphics divers and cleaning the dust out of your case interior?
  12. First mission is about 4am in the morning if I remember, the "lighting up" you mention could be illumination from the exposions when the rounds hit?
  13. I noticed today the manual is out, good stuff. The release must be imminent After a quick read through I noticed you've got the LSW designated as the marksmans weapon which is good, however there is no mention of the of the improved Javalin in the anti armour section! Is this an oversight? http://www.army.mod.uk/equipment/support-weapons/1471.aspx
  14. If it's stable and meets what expected of it there is no need to change your OS, people who have to have the latest and greatest for all the shiny bells and whistles deserve everything they get IMO.
  15. When it’s done, hopefully not in the same vein as Duke Nukem Forever.
  16. If you didn't back up the installer, copy the install folder across.(that way you keep installed mods and saves also). Worked for me Obviously you still need to un/re license
  17. I think the question to ask is what year is this film from, that would answer a lot of the questions posed so far
  18. You should feel lucky you can play quick battles at all. I get the swapped sides bug every time I play
  19. You could change the texture but not the properties. BF would have to add this and i'm pretty sure they have already said no.
  20. They have to have mortars in WW2 so were probably working them in parallel, glad to see they are now in SF, hopefully this will allow them for US Forces. (have I just spoiled a surprise?)
  21. Not sure what your point was here, other posters might not undrestand what the sales rank shows. To claify this clearly shows CMBO is still popular followed by CMSF (in the eyes of Amazon) From Amazon's site:- What Sales Rank Means As an added service for customers, authors, publishers, artists, labels, and studios, we show how items in our catalog are selling. The lower the number, the higher the sales for that particular item. The calculation is based on Amazon.com sales and is updated each hour to reflect recent and historical sales of every item sold on Amazon.com. We hope you find the Amazon.com Sales Rank interesting! For comparison here are the rankings from Amazon UK (i assume the rankings posted are from Amazon in the US) makes interesting reading. (There are muliple entries for CMBO beacause of the way it was relaesed in Europe under mulitple publishers this does skew the figures here) Also as Redwolf suggested the prices are variable which must also have an affect, interestingly CMSF at £10 seems to be doing well, and cmak is more popular than CMBO and CMBB which show's the opposite of the previous figures Anthology 10,774 CMBO 15,888 CMBO (Explosiv) 13,694 CMBO (Explosiv) II 13,700 CMBO (CDV) 15,188 CMBO (CDV) II 18,490 CMBB 10,764 CMAK 5,219 Shockforce 7,823
  22. I'll take another look, you may want to change the default settings though, i don't think they give a good impression. I few people have already stated it's like a fight against the UI, and it did feel like that.
