The_Red_Rage
Did some searching on the net and couldn't find anything. Is there any evidence of Syrians utilizing body armour during combat operations? I would imagine practically everyone is utilizing at least 'Nam era flak vests nowdays. In game terms, it could be interesting to see Syrian Airborne and SF units slightly more protected. Could be even more interesting if number of "armored" troops within any particular unit varied with "Quality" setting.
slug88
If I'm not mistaken, in-game SF are already wearing body armor that is equivalent to American protection.
MikeyD
There's a nice mod out somewhere there that redresses the all-black Syrian Special forces in Russian camou. With that mod the body armor's considerably more apparent than on the originals.
The_Red_Rage
MickeyD, That's the mod I'm using right now (although i crossed 2 mods - KLMK Spetsnaz for uniform + vest from some other mod i can't recall ("spetsnaz" written in Russian on the back)).
John Kettler
The_Red_Rage, Have you seen the YouTube vid in which OMON troops train by shooting each other, while wearing assault armor including helmets, with 9mm pistols firing live ammo from under 2 meter range? Target is chest center of mass. Talk about realistic training! Regards, John Kettler
The_Red_Rage
No, never seen that video. "Trust your equipment" kind of session to give troops more confidence under fire?
