Olak Dog
As an old Third Reich addict, I was so happy to find this awesome game. Playing the Axis against the AI at Expert, I began building [Corp] units in late 1942 and placing them along the coastal tiles to defend France. I managed to place a unit on every coastal tile and guess what? AV transports cannot attack coastal defenders from the sea!! This made it impossible for the D-Day invasion force to land, and the Allied AV transports simply sat off shore waiting for my air units to destroy them. AV transports should be able to attack land units that occupy coastal tiles UNLESS that coastal tile is a city or fortress. This would allow using engineers to make key coastal tiles safe, but still allow invasion to be possible. There is just not time to build a fortification in EVERY coastal tile on the French coast. John DiFool the 2nd
This is a long-standing issue, and has been discussed to death. The hope here is that we'll get a Marine unit, which can assault directly from the sea, for the upcoming world scenario, and also for the other scenarios as well.

Nah should be possible without a marine unit. Those lads on d-day were regular infantry.
