Paper Tiger
Yeah. I'd noticed that some flavour objects block vehicular movement. It looks a tad unrealistic so I don't place them so that they can obstruct movement in any meaningful way. Now, a roadblock flavour object would be really cool to have...
missinginreality
Admittedly it takes a bit of patience to build a roadblock but it looks OK IMHO in the end and does the job at blocking the road too.
Pete Wenman
Guys hi Here's my motorway toll booths/custom post from the first large rural map I did And a purpose built checkpoint As Missingreality says it needs a bit a patience and lateral thinking. birdstrike
I noticed that logs also block movement.
Pete Wenman
And the aftemath. I managed to get the VIED to the checkpoint, but was detected at that stage. Quite how the taxi ended up so far away from the crater is a strange one though. Civilian density to the highest setting, but I guess the compound was protected.

And it couldn't have been the case of me not positioning them close enough, since I even went as far as building a solid wall out of the things and still had vehicles drive though unobstructed. /shrug
Roter Stern
Well, actually here - a picture is worth a thousand words ... this is running v1.07, with poles spaced-out "one click": Perhaps someone can confirm whether this is somehow "intended" or is in fact a bug? missinginreality
How about that!? I never actually tried to drive through them coz in my head it was a blocked road so always went around them. The old Jedi mind trick hey
Pete Wenman
Guys hi A little testing has clarified this. If as Louch did you back the route entirely a vehicle will just roll throught it. If as Missinginreality did you just block the road, the vehicle will go around the objects. It kinda makes sense
Roter Stern
Actually in my test above the route from one side of the poles to the other is not completely blocked - the vehicles could've driven around the buildings, if they wanted to. Besides, those poles are there to block vehicle passage regardless of whether or not there is an alternative route.
