Lord_Simmox
heres my first scenario for testing please post comments Dawn Patrol play the baked scenario from the blueside or use the non baked version for blueside and 2 player. no scripted blue missions in either. authors notes; you have command of a small force, seperated slightly. you start the mission almost into the action. be prepared for action you may get reinforcements just ib time. not for the faint hearted. Enjoy!
Kieme(ITA)
Hello! I've tried it, might come as a nice scenario, just some suggestions: ****************SPOILER ALERT******************* -those IEDs are too powerful and too close for my opinion... try to scale them down since the scenario is a small one with few forces. -some more infantry for the us would be helpful, cosindiering how is difficult actually to clear buildings. -try to make more variable the scenario terrain, it will look even better. -check the position of some flavor objects (i.e. street lights first)
Lord_Simmox
updated! thx for your input force mix change and some scripting changes reinforcements may arrive just in time to secure the obj
Goliath's Big Brother
Hi, Played this and enjoyed. Thanks for the effort in doing this. Any errors are probably down to my tactics not your scenario design. Hope to see some more. Thanks again.
Lord_Simmox
thanks mate i like to make them as challenging as possible its certainly a deadly little mission the americans are facing. had a lot of fun making it. there will be 6 missions in the mini campaign once finished
Capt. Toleran
Good fun. ****SPOILER**** That huge VBIED was a big shock, and a hard hit, but keep it in, it teaches you a lesson (don't let bombs explode within a block of you). I'd rather have the sting on my pride than not learn.
The Warrior
Great scenario and a lot of fun. Can hardly wait for your mini campaign. ****SPOILER**** That VBIED scared the hell out of me. Never play a battle with any. I thought at first some one had nuced the town. Lucky for me I had not moved that far so there were no losses from it.
JaguarUSF
The map looks eerily similar to Abu Susah. Man, if I were the author of Abu Susah, I'd be pissed! ****SPOILER**** I am the author of Abu Susah and I'm not pissed.
Hawkmek
Played Dawn Patrol (non-baked version last nite). Had a BLAST! Great map, nice challenge. It was ugly, but I won. I highly recommend everyone giving this one a go. Not too overwhelming, nice terrain mix. How does Acquire work? I had a Squad low on ammo, they embarked in a Stryker, but the button was not available. Can the squad get ammo from any vehicle or only "their" vehicle?
Lord_Simmox
yes indeed it is the map from Abu susah with some changes. its a fine map,but thats the only resemblence i guess if someone gets *pissed* about it,they can take a number and stand in the line, with every other bloke thats pissed at me,for various reasons... im sure the Syrians arent to happy about the content of CMSF either >)
Lord_Simmox
aquire works yes the squad has to be in the vehicle to aquire javs or ammo ive done it on a few occasions, ammo can be gleaned aswell as the javelins 5.56mm and 7.62 mm is available
