KNac
why the editor is slower and slower with map size increase? I'm not talking about the 3d preview, but the 2D map, in theory there is nothing running there so why in the hell does become slower? it does not depend on terrain features or untis, a blank desert map does it. just curious as i don't design maps but no aparent reason for this to happen (my computer in an AMD 64 X2 4800+, shouldnt have much problem with this). there seems to be serious optimization issues with this game.
Paper Tiger
Yes, I'd like to add my voice to this question. I can't understand why the mouse is slowing down when it's over the 2D map but when it moves onto the interface panel, it runs fine. It's just a simple x-y grid with coloured blobs, the sort of thing my old Commodore Amiga used to be able to handle without any problem.
thewood
I have that too. Does everyone have this issue?
blow56
I get that, too - peculiarly, the problem disappears if you zoom in.
Dirtweasle
Yep, I think it's a universal complaint, no?
birdstrike
I have this, too. But I thought this was because of not enogh RAM. Good to see I'm not the only one. And may I add, it also takes quite a long time to increase/decrease the map size of large maps, even when zoomed in.
panzermartin
Same here. Maybe on of the reasons we dont see bigger scenarios too. Beyond 1x1km scrolling is painful.
