Artie
Lower the screen resolutions and/or closing some background running programs (like antivirus software and misc control panels) maybe?
grandad
i'm running on 1024x768 res, 32 bit colour, turned spec within game down, low grass/sky detail, , turned off shadows etc, game running better framerate but now crashing to desktop  don't want to lose model details of tanks and men so may turn everything of or down except them. Artie
Weird weird, I was running it with the similar computer specs on the almost full details. Did you try suggested "use only one CPU" checkbox in the ToW settings?
grandad
Done that artie, with it checked and unchecked, just the same , gonna dabble some more with ingame settings, see wot gives.
Spartan
Very similar spec to my machine. Seems to be some pattern with AMD64 and ATI garphics cards no matter which?? Mike
Hpt. Lisse
Mike - your built-in ATI Express 200 video chip doesn't have anywhere near the processing ability of his 512MB x1650 Pro card. Not trying to insult you, friend, but it's not even in the same ballpark.
landwarrior
I've just put the Officers demo back on my machine. That runs ok, and it is a very graphic game
grandad
game now running , not brilliant, framerate between 10-15, how does that compare to other people , turned all details down, ie shadows none, water detail medium, grass normal, trees medium, tree distance low, models are high(dont want to lose them ),disabled eax, have manged to keep high landscape detail, using 16 bit colour, gonna try 32 bit tomorrow if I get home early from work  at least now its sort of playable  thanks to the forum I'm slowly getting there, more tweaking and should be ok, but what a pain in the ass!! Spartan
Hpt Lisse, Do you work for Battlefront? Are you officially saying that the ATI Xpress 200 will not run this game? Thanks, Mike
landwarrior
If that is true, there are going to be a few unhappy people. Me for one.
dez1
Windows XP Professional Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 3.00GHz 1024MB RAM RADEON X1600 PRO Hi all, game running very slow, I have tried tweaking and had very little success, need some help.
FanzerPaust
In the ww map in the demo you can change resolution and stuff. I put everything that has a number, to 1and later on o 0. With that tanks werent even viewable, water wasnt there, even the trenches werent visible as holes. Eventhou, the game slowed down when the second wave comes in. So im convinced now more then ever it is a problem with the game combined to settings and hardware on the PC. Something that should be easially solved with a patch or two. It doesnt seem to apear when you have a massive strong computer, but a little older and **** comes down the pipe... I will wait.
