Cpl Carrot
I am trying to organise a tourny for the newbies out there and have enlisted the help of the Combat Scenario design team. However when I try to open one of their battles that they have delevoped, CM will just crash to desktop. It does this on two other computers as well. They, however, are able to open the battle without difficulty. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem might be? TIA Cpl Carrot
MrSpkr
Do you have the most recent version of CMBO installed? Do they?
Cpl Carrot
AFAIK yes. I am running 1.12. I have tried deleting the preferences and running it but that has not worked.
Schrullenhaft
Send them the exact file you have and see if they can open it. I'm under the impression that they'll see the same problem that your are - a corrupt file. Did they zip the file before sending it to you ?
Cpl Carrot
It has been sent unzipped and zipped. We are both using 1.12. I will send the version I have back. Cpl Carrot
Pzman
Cpl. Carrot I just checked the file you sent me, its showing as 11kb's when the actual file is 12k. I will try sending it to you with my other email, hotmail does strange things to files.
Cpl Carrot
Got it fine this time. Blame it on Hotmail I guess. I checked and the file size for the ones that failed were bigger than this current one. I guess something got added to the mix somehow
