Map Editor?

Just purchased 2 pre-orders one for my son. He wants to know if there will be a map editor?

There is no map editor included in the first release. "Only" a mission editor to create new missions on the exiting maps.

Although Moon stated that there would be the possibility that 1C is releasing a map editor after the release of ToW - but there is no final word on that yet!

Thanks, looking forward to the game. Probally be a while before getting to that point anyhow, working on the game basics. Played close combat and Combat Mission. Curious to see how this matches up.

Yes it would, am downloading the demo now. But one concern I do have for the full game is replayability. An editor would let the creative juices of this community flow.

Yes, it will come with an editor. I just posted content on another thread. But I will repeat it again.

You will not be able to physically change the map itself or create your own map BUT, you will be able to change unit types, nationality, triggers, victory conditions, reinforcements...I think there are some others but thats the meat of it.

I'm not much of a scenario maker but from what I have seen the editor is VERY powerful.

I've seen posts speculate that since this game is developed on the IL2 engine that maps could possibly be made through that route. I don't know if that's accurate or not but it gives me hope.
