In light brush or tall grass against an immobilized tank or other juicy target, the Goliath could be a nasty surprise. Not so good, though, if infantry with fast firing weapons is nearby. American GIs certainly didn't have much trouble dealing with it

once the word was out, but I think a few GIs early on came to grief screwing around with one.

There were strenuous requests made for them to be included in CMBB, but it didn't happen. My understanding from reading Suvorov's various books

(spent time in the field with SpetsNaz units as an inspector) is that the Soviets had mine dogs even in modern times. Guess they thought they were effective, eh? Nice screenshot!
