Hawk
Say I took a map from a favourite book (e.g. Lord of The Rings) and created a scenario for SC2 using the map as well as units named Hobbits, Eorlingas, etc. etc. If I made said scenario available for download, would I be violating any copyright laws? I tried searching, but couldn't find anything about it here.
Timskorn
I don't think so. I've used commercial music in RTS scenarios before (soundtrack stuff and whatnot) and not had any problems, and one of my scenarios made it on a UK PC Gamer disk. I believe as long as you aren't selling the product it's fine.
Retributar
It might only matter if your going to sell it!,going to make money on someone else's work!,...otherwise, no-body will care.

Hawk
Yes, a "little bit" indeed! Thanks, I've allready been through that thread and found some nice bitmaps on some of the links! And no, I'm not doing a LoTR based game. That was just used as an example.
